Life is all about learning and trying new things. Today I made Hainanese chicken for the first time. It was quite the effort to prepare but it was so worth it.
The poaching water turned into a delicious broth that was used to cook the rice, prepare the chili dipping sauce and drink as soup!

I started this Instagram March 18! Just over 2 months ago 🎉 I’ve found something I love doing and some pretty amazing people in just such a short period of time. 💕
Not only that but I feel my mental and physical health have improved greatly. I used to have a “personal blog” account which I felt so pressured by the people I followed. The perfect candids, outfits, bodies, etc. which affected me mentally and feeling like I had to do the same. I never knew what to post. I’d post like every month...2 months? Maybe even longer. Lol. The point being is my life isn’t perfect and nor can I take perfect candid photos of myself in great outfits on the daily. (Don’t get me wrong- good on you guys who do it!!) But that’s not me 🤷🏼♀️ and I don’t wanna feel pressured to do so or portray something that’s not 😊
So thanks to everyone who actually follows me for me and enjoys my recipe posts/ rants 💞much love!!

📸: Matcha White Chocolate Mochi Melonpan from Baker & Table Café. Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed by this. The matcha cookie crust on top did have a subtle matcha flavour and the mochi added a nice texture, but then again, I could just have mochi on its own. Also for over $4 a bun, I’d rather just stick with a pineapple bun. 🤷🏻♀️

Fat, juicy mussels at one of the top 100 restaurants in canada! with the food being top-notch, I can see why it was named in the top 100. Service was also efficient and friendly and the view of the vineyard and lake okanagan was absolutely stunning. A must-see if ever visiting Kelowna!

Egg benny with steamed bun is an interesting experience but i still prefer the classic kind like Yolks! But the hash brows are curry flavor and are pretty good as they are crispy, crunchy and flavourful!
Poached egg was a bit overcooked and could be more liquidy. Bacon portion is very little too which is kinda sad. The bun bao was mehh tho. It is a bit dry even with the guacamole and there could be more guacamole.
