the salmon flower from @sushimodo
was some of the best sushi I’ve had in awhile. perfectly seared pieces of salmon wrapped around a dollop of rice and chopped scallop. the amount of sauce was perfect and the fish melted in my mouth. ALMOST as wonderful as the lady I had dinner with 😏

I was SOOOO excited for the pad thai from Nam Took but it turns out the noodles were made with egg 😔 which is frustrating bc last time I was here I was told it was vegan and ate it 😢 and was REALLY looking forward to it!
Anyway got the thai fried rice instead (no egg) and it was yummy too so no complaints 😋 also had such a cute takeout date thus the candle :')

Who is hungry? Who needs some local-styled wild food? 🙋♀️This place Smoke And Bones BBQ on Marine drive, North Vancouver serves delicious bones bbq. Their nachos are extra large yet the price is more than reasonable:) I was so surprised when I first saw these dishes coming to our table. The smell of BBQ just made me wanna eat wildly😋 You would love it👍 P.s. one recommendation for ya; bring your friends I bet you cannot finish all by urself 😂 it’s that huge just so u know.

Pollack roe pasta (Myungran pasta 명란파스타) 🍝
▶️This is a recipe for two people. .
Pasta noodle (Linguine)
Olive oil, Garlic(7~8 pieces, slice thin)
Hot peppers(a little bit, Peperoncino)
Low-salt pollack roe(1 chunk)
Parmesan cheese powder, parsley flakes, salt, pepper
▶️The pollack roe is cut in half and separate the shell from the egg. Scrape off with a spoon. .
1. Put pasta in boiling water with salt and olive oil and let it boil for about 8 minutes.
2. Pour olive oil into frying pan and fry sliced garlic. When garlic starts turning brown, add the sliced hot pepper and stir-fry.
3. Add the pollack roe and mix well with the roasted garlic and hot pepper.
4. Mix pasta noodles in a pan. Make sure the pasta is evenly covered in the pollack roe and oil. Add about 3 tablespoons of pasta boiled water to adjust consistency.
5. If desired, sprinkle parmesan cheese powder and serve in a bowl. Do not sprinkle salt because the pollack roe is salty.
