I came across this drink in Wholefoods and I had to make a quick talk about it. I must say I love the name of this drink, the design is spot on but real genuine watermelon needs to come straight from a Watermelon. In this current blazing heat in the Uk Watermelon should he a fruit that you have in abundance. It is the number 1 thirst quencher known to man/womankind. Again I say don't allow these food companies to trick you into believing that drinking this juice from their pretty package is healthy. Its not my people, if you want Watermelon juice buy some watermelon, eat it and let the juice run into your body. Yes, I add filters to my pictures to make them look less dingy. No, I do not photoshop them. If I had a dollar for every time somebody told me “you don’t really look like your pictures” I’d be a rich gal 🙄 Pictures, especially on Instagram, are literally just a snapshot of that moment of time at that exact angle and unless somebody only looks at you from your good angles, you’re probably not going to look exactly the same as the way most people portray themselves on social media. My point is that y’all should take everything you see with a grain of salt. Just because most people don’t look the way they do in posed pictures with great lighting doesn’t mean that they’re fake either. It’s all about perception ☝🏼
🌱“The day I became #VEGAN ”🌱 • 1️⃣ year ago today I was in a very bad place... • Leading up to this day was years of many sicknesses, deficiencies, and diseases. 🤧 • I was getting tons of blood tests that constantly came back with a new autoimmune disease diagnosis. 💉 • My career as a collegiate runner took a huge hit and I had to stop running-and all other exercising, completely. 🛑 • I missed out on so many things because I was in so much pain or had so little energy. 😪 • I had Anemia, Hashimoto’s Disease (hypo- and hyperthyroidism), and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (a disease characterized by 3+ autoimmune diseases-mine were Hashimoto’s, Raynaud’s, Scleroderma, and some others that despite all the blood tests, couldn’t be figured out). • I was taking thyroid medication that brought my blood tests back to normal but made me feel 10x worse than before I started taking them.💊 My rheumatologist wanted to put me on steroids and a medication used to treat Malaria that would suppress my immune system in hopes it would bounce back to normal. ... the side effects: all your usual “minor symptoms” and a chance of blindness ... 👀 • That was the moment when I told my doctors I was going off ALL my medication and going VEGAN🌱 • They looked at me weird... most didn’t even know what that meant. • Well, here I am today. Feeling absolutely my best (with a few down days when I slack on diet and stress control). - I was able to finish off my collegiate running career with some of my best performances even after taking 5 months COMPLETELY off of training. And I’m ready for more great performances in OCRs! 💪🏼 • • • Btw my health wasn’t the only reason I went vegan. The ANIMALS🐮🐷🐔🐟 is my biggest reason for it, and since going vegan I’ve learned so much about environmental problems. I’ve been taking steps to reduce the amount of waste I produce as well.♻️ • •

Another huge reason I love to record my workouts. This is actually a new move I'm trying out. Look at the first maybe 20-30 seconds, no hip activation, not following up on the scoop throw and over extending on the rebound. Notice when I change hips are following through, glutes are squeezing and the movement flows much better. This gets you exhausted!! But I gotta celebrate my achievements now!!🙌 first I succeeded to correct my form especially on compound lifts which obviously helped me to go heavier w them. As a result I gained lotsa strength gains 💪 6 months ago I wanted to do pull ups at least for one and I can do 5 now ! I can squat 1.5 x bodyweight, I can deadlift 2 x bodyweight and I can bench 0.8 x bodyweight 🙌🙌🙌 I can run faster and longer, I can jump higher, I'm more explosive than ever and all of these give me the feeling of a super human lol 😅😅💪💪 apart from strength gains, I'm also pretty satisfied with how this body looking rn 👸 I now have a wider back , a firmer perky butt, leaner legs (w almost non existent cellulite) and a flat stomach (lol especially the last one makes me feel good every damn day 😌😌😌 ) And I don't know if there's any need to talk about mental gains but once again I want to highlight that I'm into fitness first bc it's my way of escape from the daily stress; bc it's my therapy... I'm addicted to that feeling endorphins give me and sweat is literally my salvation 🙌🙌🙌🙌 . WICKED WEDNESDAY 🥕🏆 Staying at Alpe d’Huez at the moment 🚵🏼‍♂️, living on carbs for enough energy. Made this pasta a while ago. So inspired by this meal, here you go 👌🏻 • Tempeh spaghetti 🍝 • Ingredients ⬇️ Whole wheat spaghetti Tempeh Onion Zuchinni Can of diced tomatoes Garlic For the tempeh sauce: 2½ tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp olive oil 2½ tb of tamari or soy sauce 1 t oregano 1 tsp thyme 1 tsp dried basil pinch red chilli pepper flakes • Instructions ⬇️ Mix the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, tamari, soy sauce and seasoned together. Place the tempeh in it, cover and marinate for at least half an hour. Heat some oil in a large frying pan and fry the tempeh on the medium heat until the marinade is dry and the tempeh is roasted. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package. Heat oil in another pan and sauté the onion and garlic, then the zucchini a few minutes and add the diced tomatoes. Mix the tempeh through it 🍴

So many people outside of fitness or new to lifting will look at a photo of a woman all flexed out and be like “yea but I don’t want to get that buff tho”... “that’s a little too much for me”... “she looks like a man in a bikini”. I’ve heard those three the most as well as similar commentary from fitness folks... who will look at a photo and belittle someone’s fitness level because their veins or muscle separation aren’t obvious. . Had such a lovely dinner at the taco Tuesday night yesterday at @essence_cuisine with @vegan.han 🌮 I’ve never been here before but have walked past a couple of times and always been so tempted to go inside, and it’s safe to say that it did not disappoint 😍 we had a starter of these mini corn nachos with refried beans (and as a huge refried beans lover I was a massive fan of these 😍), then the main was two tacos- one with pulled jackfruit and a pineapple salsa, and the other with a marinated mushroom, sour cream and guacamole 🥑 then for dessert we shared the raw brownie with a caramel sauce which was a absolutely delicious as well! Anyway we’re about to go have lunch in Camden market now with Han and @anna.winstone so v excited for even more yummy food 😏

This morning: I didnt ask Cody to come work out with me. But he did. Last night: he went on a hunt for squash because literally every grocery store was out. TBT 4 year difference 💁🏽‍♀️. . On the left was me 4 years ago! Highly raw, consumed large amounts of vegan protein and worked out literally hours daily. I repeat.... DAILY. I ran miles and lifted weights every .... single .... day to look this “skinny”. I was happy because I was working hard on sculpting a body I could be proud of and even enter competitions! 💪🏽😄 But an unfortunate accident happened which changed my life. . On the right I’m with my bestest friend, LIVING LIFE. Eating what ever and when ever I want. (always vegan of course) In this recent pic I haven’t even so much as LOOKED at a gym!! Chronic back pain from severe disk herniations and ruptures including a permanently damaged nerve prevented me from exercising outside of a therapy office these last few years. . Luckily, after a much needed L-Spine laminectomy and a lengthy recovery, a lot of pain has been relived ☺️ However as per surgeon orders👨🏾‍⚕️ I will be forced to either wear a back brace FOREVER, or strengthen my core 😏 And this back brace ugly AF so you already know I’m going with the latter 😎. . ⚠️MY GOAL IS NOT WEIGHTLOSS⚠️. . ⚠️NO I WILL NOT POST MY WEIGHT⚠️. . ⚠️NO I WILL NOT EAT ANIMALS AGAIN⚠️. . I will continue to be plus sized and FUCKIN HAPPY. I love my natural size, soft tummy or hard tummy, still my tummy and I love my curves. . So if I gotta get a strong core IMA DO IT AND NO I DONT CARE IF IT SHOWS OR NOT 🔊. .
