is a huge part of my life. My journey started out when my high school best friend convinced me to go vegetarian our freshman year. I quit meat ”cold turkey”, and never looked back. I began to eat more veggies, more plant-based whole foods, and thought I finally had this diet thing all figured out. .
A few years later, I turned 16, and all of that came tumbling down. I developed food allergies out of the blue, and with dairy and eggs now off the table, it only made sense to try going vegan. So I took the plunge, made the effort, and like when I went vegetarian, never looked back. Oh, and if you want to know the full story, I gave a #TEDx
talk on this. Seriously. .
While I’ve found so many ways to make being vegan easy, especially in a city like Berkeley, it can be tricky to manage snacking. As someone who’s constantly on-the-go, it can be frustrating when your only vegan snack options are raw veggies (boring) or fries (unhealthy). Luckily, I’ve discovered @baresnacks
new veggie chips, which are 100% vegan and SO GOOD. I’m not lying when I say I keep a picnic basket full of them in my trunk, for those snacking moments. Crunchy like a chip, but healthy like a veggie, it’s the perfect snack to carry me through my extremely busy days. 🥕 #ad #baresnacks
