*Disclaimer this post has a lot of skin and a long rant. Carry on with your judgements or read on for the details.
This is me and @rebornblr
when we were dating. Let's just say we were born into this narcissistic selfie craze so, again, stop with the judging 🙄. ••My point for this post is to rant about our pre-marriage bodies. To think that this was only a few short 5 years ago seems so crazy considering where we are now. @rebornblr
has kept in pretty good shape but the mass that he lost just got differed onto me. 🤔
••We joke about it and it's all fun and games but we are both bound and determined to give back to each other that pre-marriage spark. AKA those fit-single bodies 😄 ••Anyone who has yo-yo'ed in their fitness journey KNOWS all about looking back at photos and wishing, hoping and praying that you could magically go to sleep and wake up with that fit body once again. They know about those days when you used to think you just needed to lose or gain 10 more lbs and you'd be perfect... only to find out years later that you may have hit your peak.
••But the most beautiful thing about our intricately designed bodies is that they do bounce back. They do shape up. They do become better, stronger, faster and better evolved when we put TIME and ENERGY into ourselves. The part people don't see in the "before and after" pictures is the blood, sweat and tears it took to get them there. ••They don't see the late nights where you stalk your old pictures on @instagram.
They don't see the hours of carefully thought-out meal-planning. They don't see the weights you've lifted. They dont see the daily massages and self-care needed to push your body into changing itself. They don't see you working from 9am to 9pm and still coming home to workout. They don't see ANYTHING but a wish and a hope that they could do the same thing. ••We have to show the hard work. We have to put in the dedication and commitment. We cannot continue in a comfortable state and assume greatness. Doing great things takes nitty-gritty, down and dirty, gut-wrenching, exhausting hard work.
