Chips, aka fries, are just a “sometimes” food now as I keep a much healthier spread these days. Herbs like mint for the concentrated V&M’s, and fresh home made seed and nut pesto for the flavour, fats and protein. I go light on the nuts but I’m quite liberal with the seeds as I find them tasty and packed full of the good stuff. (Ps, plus some tasty salt too) 🌱🥜

#mekhala14dpc Day 1: The family and I started off the day with our usual #greensmoothie , using homemade almond milk, bananas, blueberries and psyllium husk, plus a scoop each of protein powder and #GoodGreenStuff for my husband and me, and a scoop of #KidsGoodStuff for my boys! (Swipe to the end for a snap of our #Nuzest essentials.) Store-bought almond milk can contain sugar and/or be watered down, so we make our own. Here's the recipe!
1. Soak handful raw almonds overnight
2. Chuck the water
3. Blend soaked almonds with 5 cups fresh water and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt
4. Squeeze milk in a muslin cloth (swipe left to see some milk squeezing action)
Feeling super-charged- we're off to a great start, I say!
Being vegan whilst pregnant wasn’t hard. I wasn’t weak, I didn’t suffer from anaemia nor I craved meat or any cheese. Although some people may judge it and find it “different” or say that vegan pregnancy is “dangerous”, my health was and is now so much better than ever before! I thrived throughout the whole 9 months of my pregnancy and I was blessed with a beautiful and very healthy baby.
I'm not judging anyone...I’m just here to plead with you to rethink the way you eat. As much as animal flesh, eggs, dairy, etc. may taste nice and we're used to eating them, we do NOT need them to survive. In fact, we live SO much HEALTHIER without them and honestly, vegan food is absolutely delicious. You open yourself to a HUGE array of nutritious and yummy food to indulge WITHOUT the bad cholesterol, hormones, antibiotics and saturated fat that comes when you eat animal products.
No innocent beings need to suffer or die. The animals are not here FOR us. They are here WITH us. There is no difference from a cow to your dog. No difference from a pig to your cat. They all feel pain, they all deserve to live and they all WANT to live. Just because we’ve been accustomed to love one and eat the other doesn’t mean that’s the right thing to do.
By being vegan, you’re not only saving the animals, you’re saving our planet for our children. Animal agriculture is the leading cause of the DESTRUCTION OF THE AMAZON RAINFOREST.

💚☺ And here are the finished products! Two different varieties of Raw Cacao Bliss Balls, one made with soaked dried Apricots blended up with soaked and drained Almonds. All sorts of goodies mixed in and rolled in Desiccated Coconut. The second on is Fructose Free, so made with Oats and Nuts blended and mixed with Tahini, Rice Malt Syrup and so much more, then rolled in Almond Meal! Yummy sugar free, high nutrient, healthy treats! ☺❤🌻✨💛

Super simple & fudgy 5-INGREDIENT BROWNIE PROTEIN BALLS (vegan & GF) 💪🏼🍫 Super easy to make, easy to store and the perfect quick snack/dessert! I added vegan @whitewolfnutrition chocolate protein powder to make these more filling and also of course give it that extra protein hit 😇 Recipe —> 5- ingredient Brownie Protein Balls
1 cup of almonds (walnuts work great too)
2 tablespoons of cacao powder
2 scoops of vegan chocolate protein powder (I used @whitewolfnutrition )
1½ cup of dates, pitted
½ cup of dark chocolate chunks
1) In a food processor, whiz the almonds until mixture resembles fine crumbs
2) Add in the cacao powder and chocolate protein powder and process briefly to combine
3) Soak the dates in water to slightly soften. Drain them and add them into the food processor
4) Process until the dates break up and mixture clump together. You may need to add some 5) water to reach the right consistency
6) Throw in the chocolate chips and briefly process until distributed through the mixture.
7) Roll the Protein balls into your desired size
Storage: In the fridge for 2 weeks, or in the freezer for a couple of months – just thaw it at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
