October 2016 and @sean_toomey
asks “Can you come and smash some walls down with me and Soph in our new home?”...”💯% mate” was my immediate response 🔨
This is a picture of Sean (of #renovationproud
fame 😉) and me outside the house that many people have watched him renovate. Little did I know that I had already started to fall in love with the house and Soph’s sister @swebbstuff
and I would eventually be buying the property from them. This happened in July and we are about to undertake some major renovation work converting the loft into an en-suite bedroom (full shed dormer). The second pic is the loft space we inherited and will be converting.
Plans, pics and vids to follow over the coming weeks 🎥 📸
Plus I’ll share an update to the spaces Sean and Soph created between now and Christmas and what we have done with them.
Work commences 7th Jan ✌🏿
Those chimney breasts tho 🔥😍
On a cold blustery day like today ... Watching the beautiful flicker of my tree candle lights , oh how I love them! 😍🤗... Nothing more charming then a Victorian Christmas tree!., I feel like a little child , mesmerised by the magical beauty ... How clever we can just plug them in , instead of potentially burning the house down! 🎄 #victorianhouse #victorianchristmas #christmastree #candles
First fire in our house and i am so excited for a cosy Saturday night in watching the Strictly final with a takeaway. (Really hope that @sjdooley
wins!) Counting down the days until we finish work for Christmas. This is my favourite time of the year 💕🎅
It takes a lot to realise sitting by the fire isn’t being lazy.
Practicing the art of slow loving today, a morning of@yoga
& essential oils followed by a dog walk then a sit by the fire.
There’s so much I could and ‘should’ do, but the batteries need recharging and after 18 months of use, now is a great time. Do you have to practice resting too? Happy Saturday folks xxx
Wrap around porch goals! My grandmother restored this 12,450sf home built in 1897. Tag a friend who would love this!
Ginger Bread House from two years ago. This was definitely my favourite window set up so far! 🎅🏻✨
We love he simplistic design of these bathrooms! 😍
Which bathroom is your favorite? 1 or 2?
Front porch restored this past summer. All original 1890 gingerbread wood work. That one spindle though... Why why why? #thisoldhouse #victorianhouse
One of the famous “painted ladies” of Lafayette Square in St. Louis, Missouri. Home to some of the best Second Empire Victorian architecture in the country, this National Historic District is ranked in @betterhomesandgardens
top 10 painted lady neighborhoods.

HALLWAY PLANNING • We went dark in the hallways and landings, which go right up to the second floor of the house, a while back. We used a @dowsingandreynolds
colour called Spruce It Up. It's a beautifully dark mossy green. It's taken a while for me to find the perfect large round mirror, which I'm then working all the art around. I've been collecting and buying prints to go onto the ground floor section of the hallway...and now the mirror is finally up (photo to come on my Story), I can finally figure out what I want to go up where 💃 Getting theeeeerrrrrre. Slowly 😂
Note to self: remember the carpet on the bottom stair needs fixing on again! 🙈
Managed to get the log fire sorted for Christmas!!
