Our hallway is normally littered with shoes along with a host of miscellaneous items that haven’t yet found a home. However, I’ve dragged them off to one side to show how we’ve got on in here. We’re pretty much done all but a stair runner and potentially panelling, which in itself is a debate which may last all of 2019 at this rate. At the back is our downstairs loo which we’re hoping to get finished in the next few weeks but are on the hunt for the perfect wallpaper which will offer a bit of fun and quirkiness. All my choices are apparently too girly (ok, guilty!) and Freddie’s require a re-mortgage so for now we’re still in negotiation on that one.
Brian Boru, High King of Ireland never came to Bendigo, but he’s named a pub with 2 nice chimneys.
Decided to expose this beautiful sandstone wall. This is the wall in our annex. I want a more rustic, country cottage vibe in this part of the house. I mean just look at the size of some of the stone block! 😍
It’s so hard to find nice lights. We did manage to get a few gems along the way, none of which are actually up yet. The only ones we did get up, we changed our mind on and took them down after a week so you could say our lighting luck hasn’t been great so far. However, the wind is changing, we’ve got a lovely one for over the mirror in the bathroom that I got on @ebay
and after a successful @johnlewisandpartners
haul we found this little dazzler which is so bloody beautiful! I feel like we need a week to focus on getting ceiling roses and lights up...
Nice chimney but a great sunset over Seddon thanks to @park_benches
Still from the short #carl
had so much designing this 1970’s piece 🖤⭐️
Thought I'd give you all a break from my constant food posts to show off my terrible tile removing skills. We've only got 2 rooms left to do in the house - kitchen and utility. The kitchen is more of a decorating job but the utility room has polystyrene ceiling tiles and brown wall tiles straight out of the 60s that need removing! Made lots of progress today but now I'm knackered.. and need to clean up 😭😭😭😭
The New York Cafe was built in 1880 and was restored to its former glory onyl about 11 years ago. Its stunning ❤️
One of the small chandeliers in the @new_york_cafe
set against ornately painted and gilded ceilings
Dinner last night in the New York Cafe in Budapest. They said its the prettiest cafe in the world and so far, I have to agree @new_york_cafe
A hidden gem high on Rowan Street .
