A short video I made a year and a half ago with the talented @amina.eisner
People love fantasising on a better life but often time never actually try to make it.
Because if they do, they will loose that fantasy they're addicted to.
What I meant with this film is: Fuck the fantasy and do shit. 💪 ➡️ www.theoillouz.com

Me and bae holding hands. #romanticdate .
Filming myself in public places always feels so awkward. Especially when I do it alone 99% of the time.
Gave up vlogging some time ago because it felt forced. I burned out with filmmaking, but couldn't face the reality on camera. I was pretending everything was great and I would make it work, but boy, did I crash hard.
This time it's way more relaxed and for fun and not associated with this account for now. This account is for people to find my video work and hire me. That puts pressure on the quality of the videos and ultimately makes me not want to make them.
If you want me to talk about anything I learned in 1.5 years making videos in London, let me know!
More updates soon.

I like when people randomly approach me asking to film them. Like this attentive security guy questioned me what I’m doing on private property, then wondered if I can include him in one of my films. Of course, I can 👮🏾♂️😀
I met Danilo @fortis.et.patiens at a basketball. Strangely enough he was with a rugby ball. No mystery, the guy is training for the rugby competition in Amsterdam in two week. Let’s wish him luck 🏉🏀
Japanese kids are the trendiest - this thought has been in my had for quite a while. Here you go - Shu @shu_8510 is a great example. He works at a boutique shop @sunnysiders_london in Shoreditch, and supplies hipsters trendy stuff directly from Japan 🇯🇵 🇬🇧

It was an early evening with pleasant soft light, when I met Rayon to talk about ways of collaboration. The evening turned out to be a performance. Mr @rayon_rashid is a poet covered by a civil engineering layer 🗣🎙
I was cycling back to work on a sunny afternoon, when I saw a guy scrupulously painting something on a brick wall. The sun, the colors and the mood everything called me to approach him to ask a permission for recording a short video of him. Let me introduce you: Ben is a gifted illustrator based in Shoreditch. Check out his works @ultramega1 🎨👨🎨
