I think this was the moment I realized what I wanted to do with my life...what I’ve always wanted to do but never given myself permission to. This photo was taken in Bozeman, MT just after @birch_and_crema
and I left @gangbusterspottery
studio. I remember telling Alissa, that’s what I want, that’s the life I want after leaving @gangbusterspottery...
a charming little studio in Bozeman where Ryan makes beautiful pottery and keeps the company of his happy Weimaraner. If you are ever in Bozeman go say hi and check him out. •
That smile on my face might just be because I knew then that I wanted to be the artist I’ve always been inside...and that I was going to let myself be that. I have always been attracted to artists and really surrounded myself with people who were artists because I was too afraid to be one myself. I was a shadow artist. Always around art, taking it in, reading about artists, watching movies about artists and hiding in the shadows secretly wanting to create in my own way. I finally feel comfortable in my skin. I finally feel I can be myself without having to please other people. Art gave me that...and @birch_and_crema
gave me the love I needed to be able to explore that. •
This is my DREAM truck by the way. 😍
