Here's are 2 variations out of #sarvangasana (shoulderstand) and 2 counterposes makrasana(crocodile) and bhjangasana(cobra). Inverted postures should be done with great caution and preparation. One of the great things about #Vinyasakrama is how the supine sequence has many variations to prepare the body for this posture and appropriate counter-poses. I am so excited to embark the journey that 2019 will bring! ... ... But first I would like to take this moment and highlight some very special and life changing moments of 2018. ... Going with pregnancy leave. This gave me the chance to practice Self Care to a new level. Which in turn meant caring for my family. Sharing my take on mastering the art of self care with you was very special for me. ... The birth of my daughter. Learning that my love could expand when having another child. Overcoming fears and beliefs. My biggest highlight. ... Recovery and finding the new balance. Letting my yoga practice guide me towards healing and recovery from a cesarean. Being able to learn from this experience, to have the knowledge on how to share, how yoga can help during recovery of a cesarean. ... Enjoying the new harmony that was created since my daughter joined our family. Yes also hard work and lots of sleepless nights. But double the giggles, cuddles and as mentioned before, love. ... Entering a new phase of life. A phase of culminating creation. And being ok with having patience before the actual act of creating. This was new for me, as well within my business. And is what makes me so excited to enter the phase of visibility! ... Ready to embark that ✈️ 🙏🏼💗🌊

I used to #stretch a little bit right before #practice . To loosen up the body, tune in, you know - #lunges , #pigeons , hip & hamstring openers.. but I found less freedom at the end range of motion than at my center. Takes years to walk there and back again. And is it necessary? Now my pre-practice, as well as main practice, consists of #strength building blocks and progressions, forward bends without the bends, stabilizers, #planks and prehab. Very classical #asana if you look on those things from the inside out. Sthira-sukham āsanam. Stable, comfortable. Patanjali said it. Continuing on in this months wide leg press work. . Instead of just lifting the feet up. Continue to use the pressing action, core through hands, to support the action of lifting hips, groins/thighs so the feet want to slide up from seat of couch to arm rest. The more you can get the hand, shoulders and hips stacked, the easier it will feel to find lift in the legs. . Don't be discouraged and skip the steps! During the practice of Vinyasa Yoga the heart rate and pulse rate should not increase and if it does your are supposed to rest until you get your breathing back under control. Al practicar regularmente Sirsasana, circula una corriente de sangre pura y sana a través de las células cerebrales, rejuveneciéndolas, con lo que el pensamiento se incrementa y las ideas se hacen más claras. Es un tónico para quienes su cerebro se fatiga mucho y con facilidad. Brinda un aporte de sangre adecuado para el riego de las glándulas pituitaria y pineal del cerebro. El crecimiento, salud y vitalidad dependen del correcto funcionamiento de estas dos glándulas. Los que sufren insomnio, pérdida de memoria y vitalidad, se pueden recuperar por la práctica regular y correcta de Sirsasana, obteniendo una fuente de energía. Los pulmones se fortalecen y soportan mejor cualquier clima, mejorando los resfriados, toses, angina, halitosis (mal aliento) y palpitaciones. Mantiene el cuerpo caliente. Mejora el estreñimiento, y se obtiene un gran aumento del contenido de hemoglobina en sangre. No deben realizar Sirsasana los que sufren de baja o alta presión arterial, ni las mujeres en los primeros días de menstruación. Sirsasana desarrolla el cuerpo, la disciplina mental y abre los horizontes del espíritu.
