Sponsored • As our week in #PalmSprings
draws to a close, it is interesting how many things we did in our ‘week of doing nothing’. We went back to old favourites (which one gets after going to places 12 times), but we couldn’t quite believe how many places we discovered - from restaurants that ‘had been there for 30 years’, to a very impressive Pilates studio (which is something that is important to us right now). Lots of new shops (always love to help the economy and our Xmas shopping is now almost done 🙄. Downtown Palm Springs is reinventing itself - in fact, they just built 2 whole new blocks and you can see what’s coming next. We slept 9 hours a day, we did get a little tan and ready for our Highway 1 roadtrip with @visitcalifornia.
This state is truly spectacular (and I feel that we have seen nothing) and I hope you get why we come back year after year. This photo was taken at the latest hotel opening in @visitgreaterps
, The Rowan, a @kimpton
hotel) which offers rooftop views of the city for the first time (at least for us!). If you come over, head up there for a cocktail or three. Have you been to this part of #California

Cheers to our favorite time of the week: Friday!
I am not afraid to admit I am a self proclaimed oenophile. I completed my WSET level one certification earlier this year and created a weekly segment on my blog called "TJ Tuesday" that highlights wines from Trader Joe's that cost less than $10.00. Sometimes I run across a complete gem while others head straight for the trash
Over the past fifteen years, my priorities, palate, and understanding of wine have grown immensely. Trips to Napa Valley has evolved from "how many wineries can I conquer in a day" to "what are the most unique, small production wineries that I can visit?"
I'm often asked for recommendations or advice when planning a trip to Napa, so I thought I would put together a post for all my future oenophiles

Das berühmte ⭐️ HOLLYWOOD⭐️ Sign - irgendwie sieht man es ständig, aber gar nicht so einfach DEN Platz fürs Foto zu finden.
I sat down to admire the view from the hilltop I’d just climbed, one I’d been dreaming of for a long time. The Pacific Ocean stretched out on my right, a thick layer of Northern California fog between it and the sky. Rocky, uneven coast, beautiful in its’ many imperfections. And Highway 1, a skinny, silver snake twisting and hugging the shoreline. After eighteen months of being closed from mudslide damage, this famous road is open again, covering over six hundred and fifty five miles of California coast, just begging to explored. Let’s get started ✌🏻
A ship in its harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships were built for ✨⛵️
The best part about staying in one place for more than a few minutes. Fell asleep to the first view and woke up to the next.
a kiddie ver of anchors away operated by a 70yr old filipino lady...best ride i’ve seen 💚
When you ask, Trinity does. She is a superstar! You’re giving me life, darling! *super dramatic British voice*
You already know, FRIDAY!!!!
I’m super stoked to be heading back into @yosemitenps
to bring a group of #reiadventures
travelers into the backcountry and up to the cables on Half Dome! The smoke has cleared in the high country and I can’t wait to get out there!
There are so many beautiful corners of the world out there! Our travel bucket lists are about a mile long each. Tell us, where is the most beautiful place you’ve ever been? Joshua Tree might just be ours 🌵
