Grand Prismatic and Pines 07.08.18
Once sun sets the show starts 🙌🏼
The Grand Prismatic Spring is a beautiful rainbow of bacteria. The center of the spring bubbles with extremely hot water, where virtually nothing can live but bright blue water. As the spring expands outward, the water cools - creating specific temperatures where different organisms thrive (yellow=cyanobacteria). The different water environments create an array of colors, which is why the spring looks so colorful and magical!
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Yesterday was filled with hot springs and geysers! And a hike mixed in there with a waterfall.
We started out with going to walk the boardwalk at the grand prismatic. There were several other hot springs. And several warnings NOT to go off the path.
We then went on a hike to get a better Birdseye view of the grand prismatic... Gorgeous! And then we continued to a hike to Fairy Falls. The hike to Fairy Falls was simple and good pathways. The falls were beautiful! The girls had fun around the area and were goofy and started feeding each other snacks like birds.

Always huge and impressive bisons take lime light in yellowstone, but these Bison cows are all over the place with cubs! This guy literally looking in to my soul 😂
North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park at sunset.
On our second day in YNP, we hiked down to the lower falls for this view, which is appropriately named. To me, this view is more spectacular than the actual Grand Canyon itself, with the deep blue + green hues, the color and clarity of the water, the rushing sound of the waterfall just out of this view . .
Another view in Yellowstone National Park.
Monday can’t find us out here
