We're looking forward to welcoming in our Level 3 Postpartum classes, retreats, offerings, product line, and workbook in 2019. Currently working on the introduction for this incredible scope of work for women to reclaim and rediscover their bodies and beings after birth - remembering always that when we birth a new baby into the world, we also birth a new mother, or a mother into new and ever unfolding stage of motherhood. "Welcome Mothers; new mothers, old mothers, grand-mothers, God mothers, mothers to be; women. Welcome birth workers, doulas, midwives, supporters, healers, wise women, sages, white witches, wild women. Welcome to the cosmically available, walking miracles of us all, bringing the mystical to the material, and the spiritual to the physical.
Welcome to the partners, the supporters, the people, the community; the village it truly takes.
In this day and age birth wisdom is seeing a much needed revival of the traditions, to reinvention of the concept and definition of the “mother” - and as I write this, in the “house of small wonder” in NYC, I can’t help but notice how my writing the word “mother” elicited the (seemingly unrelated) comment of “she does it all”, from the party next to my table.
Indeed this mystical, unseen connection in the fabric of things is so much of the “all” for which mothers are responsible; from the physiological phenomenon of a woman's brain shrinking 5% during pregnancy to form the basis of her child's neurology so they are forever instinctually aligned and connected, to the emotional nurture a mother's beautiful body provides, to the whirl-winding, the multi-tasking, the courageous acts of loving defiance daily which come with putting someone else before ourselves, as part of ourselves, mothers bodies have a story to tell which is responsible for each and every one of us, which we must no longer ignore, but rather listen to, celebrate, and exalt ✨ CONTINUED IN COMMENTS✨
