Осенняя депрессия или нам нужен витамин D. ⠀ Заметила, что многие блоггеры и просто знакомые в инстике "заболели". Думаю, многим знакомы симптомы: не хочется ничего делать, отсутствие мотивации, хочется зарыться в одеяло, всё лень, грустишка нападает, сил нет, переедание и т.д. ⠀ Почему мы депрессуем осенью? ⠀ Осень это время, когда дни становятся короче и мы реже попадаем под солнечные лучи. Дефицит солнца влияет: на сердечно-сосудистую систему, эндокринную систему, репродуктивную сферу, иммунную систему, нервную систему, настроение и биоритмы, на обновление кожи, волос и ногтей. ⠀ Вместе с этим мы получаем меньше витамина D, который помогает нам вырабатывать гормон счастья "серотонин", а также отвечает за чувство насыщения. ⠀ Оттуда и берётся депрессия, переедание, отсутствие сил. ⠀ Как "лечиться"? ⠀ Бывайте чаще на улице в светлое время суток, не забывая про защиту UV, которая важна зимой не меньше, чем летом. ⠀ Кушайте продукты богатые витамином D, такие как жирная рыба, печень, мясо, яичный желток ( ох не повезло веганам😁 ) ⠀ И принимайте витамин в таблетках, т.к. чтобы получить необходимую дневную норму, необходимо съесть 150г лосося либо 900г трески, либо 4 коктейля energy diet 🤤 ⠀ Это вам, кстати, не шуточки :) в прошлом году я попала в больничку с ужасной головной болью и выяснилось, что у меня недостаток витамина D.

Vitamin D🌞 - Main source is from sunlight - Minimal in foods such as eggs, oily fish, meat, liver & fortified foods - Advice is to take a supplement 10mcg/day during winter months (October - April) - Vitamin D helps regulate the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body which keep bones, teeth and muscles healthy - Deficiency can lead to bone deformities, rockets in children, and osteomalacia in adults - People at higher risk of deficiency include those with darker skin, housebound or those that usually wet clothes that cover the majority of their skin - A recent systematic review (October, 2018) in the lancet reported little effect of taking vitamin D on fractures or falls or bone mineral density (BMD). However most people in the review didn’t have a vitamin D deficiency, where most benefits of supplements are seen. Check out @dietetically_speaking for her full review on the paper - But what about taking vit D when you have cancer? - A systematic review reported 31% of cancer patients as deficient and 67% as insufficient - It identified the efficacy of cholecalciferol supplementation for raising the concentration of circulating calcidiol is unclear; standard supplement regimens of <1,000 IU D₃ /day may not be sufficient to maintain adequate concentrations or prevent decreasing calcidiol - This highlights the importance of testing vitamin D levels in the cancer population - BMD loss was reported by Datta and schwarts in prostate & breast patients using commonly used doses (500–1500 mg calcium; 200–1000 IU vitamin D) & found  supplementation did not prevent BMD loss - Dose-response studies on vitamin D status and musculoskeletal and survival outcomes in cancer patients are lacking. There is no definitive guidance for cancer patients, and clinical practice guidelines are derived from the non-cancer setting - The bottom line is more population specific studies would give us a clearer idea on supplementation but for the mean time keep taking your 10mcg/day of vitamin D from October -April unless your in the high risk category & you can take it all year round - There have been no reports of toxicity at the recommended 10mcg/day #vitamind #vitd #sunlight #cancer

Healthy activities in the sunshine also promotes weight loss, the warmer months allow for fun outdoor activities, like swimming, hiking, running, biking, paddle boarding, or a camping trip. Exposure to the sun should be done slowly, if you are not use to it. As your skin will be sensitive. Avoid sunburn by building up a tolerance. I think that sometimes life is made more difficult because we forget to look small, to look local, to have enjoyment in little adventures. . The weather has been warming and we soaking up as much vitamin D as we can. Being a mother of four can make getting in to the outdoors a challenge. Sometimes though, I need to remember to keep things simple. A quick walk to this beautiful spot in town provided a few hours of nature enjoyment for my two youngest and myself to detox from the stress of everyday life. I feel my mental health significantly decline when the hours spent outside have been few. Adventures need not be to mountain tops or tough hikes though to soak up the clarity and fulfilment from being outside.
