One of my favourite dining spot in San Diego. The tops on my list are the braised pork belly with poached egg mixing in rice clay pot (sooo good, but it’s not pretty for picture lol), scallop n uni capriccio and don’t forget to order their homemade pudding with black honey and Molasses.
San Diego Trip Part 1: A friend and I went to go check out this awesome street lined with Asian restaurants in San Diego. The place, you ask? Convoy Street. I’m a nerd for culture, so it was an adventure that had to be made. The first stop was Okan Wa Dining / Wa Dining OKAN... that place was awesome. The small square-bar setup made me feel like I was in my dream destination: Japan. That beef udon was da bomb diggity. The broth? Superb! So sweet... so savory (cleared my sinuses).
The next stop was Korean ice cream parlor Somi Somi. Such a cute fish cone (I chose custard filling). Milk and matcha flavored ice cream tasted so refreshing. The last food stop was not in Convoy, but it’s worth mentioning. The Elegant Truffle... a small chocolate shop with this ASTOUNDING cake they let me sample called “OH, MY GOD”. I had to buy slices for my whole fam! The two lady chocolatiers that work there (10 years in business!) were just as sweet as their creations. Entire food experience in San Diego? 10/10 would eat it all again. Feel free to ask me about the locations/restaurants/food, because man, that was awesome. #convoystreet#okanwadining#wadiningokan#udon#japanesefood#somisomi#taiyaki#koreanfood#sandiego#theeleganttruffle#chocolatecake
I ❤️ sweet shrimp. We lucked out with these super fresh spotted prawns in one of the few places that serve the heads fresh. This is my personal preference. I enjoy the fresh pure taste of the hepatopancreas aka gooey stuff in the head.
