It’s a bit harder to get into the Christmas spirit when it’s approximately a million degrees out... but sparkly 🎄 and ugly Christmas sweaters (or overalls in this case) always help! 🎅🏻
A veces en Miami es un poco más difícil entrar al espíritu navideño cuando está haciendo más o menos un millón de grados...pero un árbol bello 🎄y un suéter festivo siempre ayudan! 🎅🏻
One of the things that I absolutely love about Spain as a whole is the culture, especially in southern Spain. For me, Spain is one of those places where I can go to and immediately feel like I'm at home. The people are so welcoming and friendly, especially if you can take part in their language. I'm not a fluent speaker, but I'm able to participate in and understand most conversations. If I struggle, nearly every person I speak to will help and even teach me the word I was looking for. There's so many nights I've gone out and met people just on a whim who've invited me to dinner, drinks and concerts! Though I know this can (and does) happen in any city/country, I will always love Spain for it!
I've read MANY stories about people experiencing some crazy racism in Spain, and this is why I often tell people not to make judgment solely based on others experiences. One persons experience, is not everyone's experience. I've been to 6+ cities in Spain and have not once ever experienced racism in any. A couple of looks at most, but never anything hostile. Get out, see the world and draw conclusions on your own experiences. I absolutely love Spain and I'll definitely be visiting (more than once) in the future.
