~TRY THIS AT HOME series~
It is scientifically proved that water's molecules can record informations, and so they're able to re-shape themselves according to the info's vibration. So I'm experimenting this informed water on my home plant! I'm using an extra low fixed residue water + 2 drops of Crab Apple Bach flower. For those who don't know italian language, the words written on the spray bottle means: growth - abundance - love - light - wellness - health.

A light and airy "soiless" potting mix made of 70% coco coir and 30% perlite. "Coir" is officially pronounced "coy-er" (though I've always said "kwar") and coco coir is made from the ground up husks of coconuts 🥥 Since coco coir naturally contains no nutrients, plants must be given nutrients in their water. However, plants grown in coco under the right conditions can grow faster than in soil and are overall less likely to get bugs. Even soil growers can often improve their growth rates by adding some coco coir to their soil mix.
Tips for growing cannabis in coco coir
1.) Don't let it dry out all the way between waterings. Try to water at least once every 1-3 days.
2.) Always give nutrients from the very first watering (at seedling strength to start)
3.) Avoid using RO or heavily filtered water if you have decent tap water, and always make sure to use a Cal-Mag supplement like CaliMagic. Coco can make plants more prone to calcium deficicies, and so can RO/filtered or otherwise soft water. It's sometimes playing with fire if you use them both together. But it can be done with some care to maintain proper pH and a Cal-Mag supplement!
4.) Maintain the pH of the water around 5.5-6.5 pH to avoid deficiencies
5.) Always add a little perlite, as opposed to growing in 100% coco, for the fastest growth rate.
I love to bottom water! Here's why:
1. I think it's super cool to watch the plant absorb the water
2. The plant only takes as much water as it needs, and I have noticed it keeps soil from packing down, so soil stays nice and airy to keep roots happy
3. Soil needs to be moist at the bottom to encourage roots to grow correctly and this ensures that, along with having the correct moisture amount so it isn't sopping wet, which causes root rot
4. It keeps the top layer of soil more dry, which reduces the risk of pests along with mold and fungus
Occasionally, you will have to water from the top just to flush the build-up of harmful salts.
I was having a problem with plants not drying out fast enough, gnats, and fungus. After I switched to terra cotta pots, started to bottom water, and add ground cinnamon to the top layer of soil, I no longer have any issues and my plants are THRIVING!! 🖤🚿🌱🌲

What do you do with your runoff water? I know that extra nutrients aren't good for the environment. I do save runoff and use most of it to water my other non-cannabis plants, but I don't have enough plants to use all of it. I've heard it's best to flush nutrient water down the toilet since at least that water gets treated. Besides getting more plants, what are additional options are there? How do you dispose of your runoff water?
