The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. –2 Corinthians 10:4 NIV
In my early 20s, I called a wise friend, all excited and proud, because she’d been on my mind, which I took as my cue to pray for her, and was sure that she would have a great day. You can imagine my chagrin when she told me she’d had not just a bad day, but a very bad day.
When I expressed my dismay, she said, “Oh, but I can’t imagine how truly awful the day would have been if you hadn’t been praying.” If you’re praying for someone yet situations or circumstances aren’t changing, consider how fierce the battle may be. Don’t be fooled into thinking your prayers don’t count—quite the contrary. Your prayers on the behalf of others may give them the strength to face another day, the courage to stand strong in the face of ridicule, or the ability to say “No” to a moment of temptation.
Don’t be disheartened that the battle continues; after all, this is not our world. Instead, dig into your foxhole and stand firm! Use the weapons of your warfare and let the enemy know his only option is retreat—because your King will be victorious! #wholyfit #weapon #christianfitness #accountability #healthyBodyMindHeartSoul #faith #blessedlife
