I believe a lot of the time people will go the extra mile by taking great care of their body in hopes of fixing how they’re feeling emotionally and mentally. 💆🏽♀️🧠Unfortunately, that doesn’t always solve the underlying issues 👎🏼
It is SO important to remember that while what you’re putting INTO your body may be the best of the best, if you don’t nurture & care for your mental/emotional health, you’ll never find that TRUE happy balance 🙂💫🌈
5 MENTAL HEALTH TIPS ⬇️⬇️⬇️
1. Write down your thoughts
✨Venting is awesome! Take 5 min to record your thoughts/feelings/ideas. This can be especially helpful for tracking your moods or behavior over time.
2. When stressed or overwhelmed, find the positive spin
✨STRESS HAPPENS! Find a way to see the pros in a challenging situation. Ex: if you’re stressed thinking about an intense work deadline, think about how that stress is actually pushing you to get it done.
3. Plan to take daily, low-key walks
✨Sometimes you just need to step out and get fresh air. Getting out into the world and connecting with life is usually healing, as is the rhythmic nature of walking.
4. Self care arsenal ✨Everyone has certain things or coping mechanisms that give them a boost when they’re feeling down. Whether it’s taking a bath, watching that YouTube clip, putting on the sweatpants with 3 holes in them, or eating your favorite ice cream, make sure whatever it is, it’s accessible at all times.
5. Make a list of “your people”
✨You know the ones-these are people you know you can always text, call, or email when you need to feel a connection. By building a list of people you trust, with whom you can talk to in time of need, you allow yourself a strong sense of not being alone.
