(2016) a less-tatted, longer-haired, septum-pierced version of me clearly over the bullshit story I was telling myself: finish school even though I hate it and know I’m not going to pursue that path post-grad, don’t quit my mentally draining job because it’ll be hard to find another. I quit my job and left school a few months later and haven’t regretted it once. I found another job and created more space to pursue whatever the hell I wanted.
If there’s one thing I did take away from the classroom, it’s that wellness is multi-dimensional.
It’s your school/work/home environment and the way you contribute to that environment.
It’s your financial habits, nutrition and exercise habits.
It’s your relationship with yourself and the relationships you allow in your life.
It’s your ability to know deep down when you’re lacking (or being drained) in any of these areas, and to act on it.
You and only you can cultivate a life well-lived.

Rainbow colours to reflect that being melancholy is part of the vibrancy of life, that it is okay to shed tears, to release sadness, and to feel like you just need to cry. It really is okay to cry if you want to, it doesn’t define you, it has no need to keep you stuck, it can just be You Just Being. .
The inspiration to create: I had some pretty profound dreams last night, which included looking after my late father during his final days. At one point I met a woman on my way down a flight of spiral stairs, covered in heavily worn blue and black shag pile carpet, and as I passed she said “You can cry if you want to.” I said “thank you” and carried on to the room below. Today, I did do a little cry. I’m not sure what for or what about, but that’s fine, it is all okay.

Happy Labour Day everyone! We're celebrating the long weekend by making some dairy free chocolate! 🍫Just mix 1 cup of coconut oil, 1 cup of cacao, 1/2 cup of honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and freeze it overnight! 🍫
