29. Maker and 30. Wool People. I tried to do these yesterday and the day before but kept crashing my phone trying to go through ALL THE PHOTOS and then getting all angsty because you can only do 10 pix at a time on instagram. And there are about ten million makers and wool people I'd love to shout out. Here's a handful - just the tip of the iceberg, really - and a big mega shout out to you if you're reading and following. Our community of woolly makers is amazing and keeps on growing. In the pix @sweaterspotter
launching Penguin... Anna Maltz makes amazing knitwear designs, books and instagram posts; @knittingtastic
with wool from her father's flock at @edinyarnfest...
Rachel makes yarn and she makes me laugh and she makes knitting patterns and she makes other people's knitting patterns work; Carol Thorpe of the Oxford Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers with the fantastic @tomofholland...
Both these buddies make mends, make yarn, make sweaters, make repairs, make their own clothes and make the world more awesome; OF COURSE my no. 1 co-Wovemberist, @knit_british
who makes Wovember and the knit British podcast and many gorgeous woolly things; @donnasmithdesigns
who makes yarn from her sheep and knitwear designs and who comes from a long line of Shetland makkers; and @myshetlandgarden
who makes Shetland Wool Week happen; @janinebajus
aka FERAL KNITTER and author of THE JOY OF COLOR who makes beautiful Fair Isle designs and knitwear and who has made a gorgeous book pictured here with me and with her friend @christyknowlton
who is a knitter, sewist and maker, too... Also shown here @deborah.gray7
who makes handspun yarns, sweaters and hats, and @katedaviesdesigns
who makes yarn, patterns, books and snoods... and @ellalcgordon
who makes Crofthoose cushions, knitting patterns and glorious handknits to wear. Could have added fifty million more but will leave it at this for now, with a massive thank you to @allidecks
for organising such an amazing instagram challenge for Wovember. It's been brilliant, thank you so much and thanks to all the wool people and makers who joined in #wovember2017 #wearwoolforwovember
