Here we have approximately a one month supply of @premierprotein shakes. I drink two of these a day and use them as meal replacements. I'm always on the go, so these convenient cartons are a life saver!! After my surgery I can't eat much and getting the proper nutrition is key, and these are easy on my stomach, taste amazing, and they're only 160 calories!! They only have 3net carbs, so you can remain in ketosis while consuming them! This month I'm drinking chocolate and strawberry!! I'd recommend any of their flavors! Yes there are differences hormonally, genetically, physically etc. between both men and women but building strength, improving body composition, adding muscle, lowering body fat percentage starts with these primary movements!👊🏼💪🏼 . Of course if you have a specific goal for example build a bigger chest then you prioritize your chest days for 3 days a week, and other areas you only get in 2 times a week for the other muscle groups. Or if you want to build a bigger lower body then you focus on lower body compound movements 3-4 times a week. . Focus on one area for the next 2-3 months, really develop and be patient with it, and then choose another area for the next 2-3 months that might be lagging or underdeveloped. . If you ever ignore your lower body training and you are wondering why you are not seeing results?🤔 There’s your answer. . We are all built differently and have areas that develop quicker than others, so refrain from comparing to your peers. Do your research and see how you can tweak, and fix some areas in your training where you are lagging. Be patient with it, you have the rest of your life to improve on it!🙏🏻 . Focus on improving your performance in these movements, track your loads, volume beats intensity, aim to work muscle groups twice a week minimum, and dial in on feeding your body to improve performance. Happy #transformationtuesday 💕 Not where I want to be, but definitely far from where I was. I’m finally comfortable in my own skin (for the most part). The picture on the left popped up on my Facebook memories. That picture was taken exactly two years ago at a #halloween party. I NEVER dressed up... because nothing fit well or all my options were super limited. So I decided not to dress up that night. This is the first Halloween where I’ve gotten to dress up the way that I’ve wanted to. Last year I wore something that I didn’t want to be, but was the only thing that fit. The dress on the right is a medium! A lot can change through small changes over a long period of time. 📸💪🏽 Motivated as f*ck!! This week I started tracking macros again (counting calories). I’m currently weighting 70kg and trying to hit 2’400kcals per day (55% carbs, 25% fat, 20% protein). I'm very excited to share this #transformationtuesday with you guys!! I'm less then 10lbs away from hitting my 100lbs lost goal. I also have decided to be fearless and take a huge step in my health journey. . God has really laid something important on my heart that I want to share with you. Never be under the impression that a certain exercise is only for girls or guys or only for losing weight or adding muscle . Here are some of your best options when it comes to selecting exercises you’re going to do. They are the basic ones. They are compound lifts that target several muscle groups at the same time. They should be your primary focus 👊🏼 . As you can see, guys and girls have the same exercises. There shouldn’t really be a differentiation between the 2 sexes. These are great for everyone. Of course you’re more likely to see girls doing hip thrusts and guys doing bench press but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be doing both. Just comes down to which body parts people are more focused on. Bottom line is that while you may put more emphasis on certain areas, you shouldn’t completely neglect other parts. . Keep in mind that these exercises can be interchanged for other variations. For example, instead of bench press you can do horizontal dumbbell press, incline press or even push ups 👍🏼 . I’m finally at a point where I refuse to let food, my weight, PTSD— or anything else for that matter— control my life. I may drool at the thought of a donut, but I now have the self-control to eat a salad instead. I may have a hightened fight or flight sense in comparison to the average person, but that just makes me stronger and more aware of myself and others. I may still be heavy, but I’m a hell of a lot skinnier than I used to be, and I’m not stopping now.
