My first 72-hour fast! Here goes... -
My last time eating was at 2pm today. I will be fasting until 2pm Sunday. Very nervous, but also very excited. 😊
6 years and 3 months....that's how long it has taken to crack my weightloss goal. And today I have done it. I have now lost a total of 43.2kg.
When I started at 112.7kg my ultimate goal was to get to get to 70kg. I made many little goals along the way because the thought of having to try and lose more than 40kg is very daunting. And never did I think it would take me so long.
I have been in the 70's for a few years now and worked my absolute arse off to keep working towards this goal. I have never fallen off the wagon. I have never decided I'd had enough and given up. I continued to find ways to become stronger and healthier and continue towards this goal. .
I'm not done and finished yet but fuck am I relieved to have finally cracked this!

As of age 15 I've been trying to lose weight. Looking back I remember how people use to criticize me over my weight. However this didn't really encourage me to eat less and lose weight, on the contrary, I found comfort in unhealthy and fatty foods and hence I got even heavier than before. I didn't grasp how bad my situation was. One day I looked at myself in the mirror and finally decided that I have to do something in order to change my life.
I tried a few kinds of diets and exercises but always gave up after only 1 or 2 months.
In the last year I finally managed to lose 25 kg of my weight! I have to assert that it wasn't easy but IT IS POSSIBLE!
I started to plan a weekly menu made up of more veggies and less carbs. Planning ahead of time was crucial to my success.
Another important note is regarding diversity: I always try to make different variations of the same food. I don't intend to get bored and get tempted to eat unhealthy carbs. Finally my stomach started shrinking and I got full from smaller dishes and portions of food.
In the first half of the past year I managed to eat right and go for long walks yet the results were poor so I replaced it with 4-6 days a week of intensive cardio workouts and this led to a fall of 1 kg of weight per week.
At first it was tough but eventually the pain of the beginning went away. I even started enjoying it but most importantly: I started seeing results.
As for myself I can tell you that I am happier person, I love myself more than ever and my leg pain (from standing up) has vanished.
It isn't the end of my journey, I have more weight to lose but I'm on the right path :) Patience pays off guys.
