Really really hoping that the itchy, raw throat and runny nose + headache I’ve got going on is a combination of allergies and detoxing two weeks of junk eating. Just in case though I’ve got my oils diffusing, drinking lots of immunity boosting tea, and also double strength boost juice. Made this batch using brewed chamomile tea rather than plain water for some added benefits. Not my favorite taste, but worth it in the long run.

My tuesday night class for after work. I love that my local gym schedules fitness classes every day (yoga, zumba, trx, cycle, kettlebells, water aerobics, etc.) If you've never tried taking a group fitness class but have thought about it, do it! Dont let the idea of working out with other people discourage you. My classes have been one of my biggest motivators through out my journey. They help make you comfortable since most people joining a class feel the same as you do. I seen the newest Jurassic World last night. I liked it at first but decided today I didn't like it. Ever seen the movie the movie Lucy? Very interesting. Day 17 of a better diet and exercise! So far I've only lost 3 pounds and I would be lying if I said that I haven't been discouraged, but today is a new day and I'm going to try to figure out what works best for me. I'm excited to try something new and keep on striving to be the best version of myself for my family. Today I had my meal replacement shake. I added a tablespoon of Peanut Butter, because, well, who doesn't love peanut butter? Alright guys we’re about to have real talk and possibly tmi so here’s your warning😝 There are days when I look in the mirror and can’t see any progress. Sounds crazy after a 150+ pound weight loss but it’s the 100% truth. I’m currently at a bit of a stall and EXTREMELY bloated. Every month I seem to go through two stalls and extreme bloating (lose skin problems) usually around ovulation and my time of the month🤷🏻‍♀️ it happens and I’m stuck on the scale or even shoot up 1 or 2 pounds. These times are hard for me and I’m still trying to learn how to mentally handle them without feeling discouraged. Sometimes you have to step back and give yourself a pep talk BUT sometimes I need a little something to remind me of how far I’ve come. I chose to do a pants comparison for #transformationtuesday because I needed to see my progress right in front of me. Sometimes the only thing you can do when you hit a stall is to keep doing what you’re doing and push through. The pants on the bottom are size 24 and honestly I could have gone up a few sizes but I refused to buy bigger than a 24. The pants on top or size 12/14 leggings. How can I be upset about a little stall when I’m looking at this progress!!! Among them being: ⠀⠀ (1) high-volume (lots of food for relatively low calorie content) ⠀⠀ (2) contains protein (often low-calorie relative to protein content) ⠀⠀ (3) “0” calories all together (aka, so low in calories that realistically you don’t need to track it) ⠀⠀ (4) high-fiber, satisfying foods (like berries and bananas that are fill you up) ⠀⠀ (5) convenient foods (pre-packaged tuna, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, bananas) that you can take on the go ⠀⠀ (6) etc, etc, etc. ⠀⠀ 👉🏼 Now with all that said, when I’m referring to the “best” foods for fat loss I simply mean this: foods that are relatively more likely to support your fat loss goals and help you hit your calorie and macronutrient targets for the day compared to other foods that might not support those targets (aka, foods that are high-calorie, calorie-dense, etc). ⠀⠀ 🔥 So the takeaway I want you to get is this: ultimately, the “best” foods are the one’s that you enjoy and support your goals. However, there are some foods that are probably “best” in terms of how easy they are to make fit into your nutrition for the day. ⠀⠀ 😃 Ultimately, eat 80% healthy stuff, and fit in fun foods you enjoy with the other 20%.
