Do you know your own weaknesses?
This subject was brought up the other day and really had me thinking.
Here’s a few of mine:
-I always need to get everything done, but I can’t come to terms with the fact that I can’t do EVERYTHING.
What do I mean by that? When I’m overwhelmed with things to do at work, I get stressed but I still never ask for anyone to help me. I also have a bit of a problem asking for help because I don’t want to seem weak AND I also like things to be done my way so I can assure they are perfect lol.
It’s a blessing and a curse because I’m obviously driven and want to achieve things, but I stress myself out in the process.
-I’m too nice. I always give people the benefit of the doubt and I’ve been screwed over many many many times because of it.
-I tend to hold in my emotions until the point that I end up exploding. I always tell myself “just brush it off, it’s fine.” In reality, I can’t brush things off because I overthink them and then everything builds up and BAM suddenly I’m exploding on someone just for putting something in the wrong spot!
-I’m awful at talking about my feelings/showing emotion too lol. When I’m really excited about something it’s physically hard for me to show it on the outside. I don’t like people seeing me react? I really don’t know and I don’t understand this one. Maybe its the introvert in me? (I’m def an introverted extrovert, where my fellow people at?)
What is one of your weaknesses? I’m curious.
I think it’s safe to say that I need some more work pants 🙈. All of them fit me so loose now! I plan on getting some more today. -
If you’re losing weight, you know how hard it is to let go of that fear of shopping and not fitting well in clothes. I plan on leaving those fears behind, and finding the best fitting pants without worrying about the size on the tag. Seeing how far I’ve come motivates me to continue to love my body through this journey and respect it as I continue to drop lbs. 😄

Just call me Obi wan kebab ob ! ha ha. It's Just so easy to make a reduced calorie healthier version of this takeaway treat and tastes a bit better to ! lol I know a lot of people do prep on a sunday for their lunches for the beginning of next week using the usual chicken and rice but I like to do stuff for my tea when I get in as well. So in a tub I would dice 3 to 4 chicken breasts and then make a marinade to pour over it and let it infuse to make my chicken salad a bit more interesting over the following evenings. I also would cook it as fresh as possible but you can cook 3 days off at a time if you want.
If you do cook it off as fresh as possible the marinade will continue to infuse the meat as the days go by and will become even tastier as the week goes on !
If you have a little food blender like I have it's so quick and easy to make something so fresh tasting like this concoction by placing all the ingredients into it and blitzing it to a runny paste.It takes minutes ! You can use a nutribullet if you have one to.You know the xmas present you asked for a few years ago but rarely use !!! ha
In this one I put fresh chilli, lemongrass paste,fresh garlic, fresh coriander, fresh ginger, fresh mint, fenugreek powder, tumeric, lemon juice, honey, seasoning and a little olive oil. I then poured the paste over the chicken and then massaged it into the meat. It really needs 24 hours to marinade the meat but I was hungry today so had some after a few hours marinating. I made some reduced calorie curry dressing and some homemade spicy ketchup to go with it. Pretty Yum ! Like cooking me like. Perfect business plan now ! Healthy kebabs out the front door and dodgy calorie laden cheesecakes out the back door ! 🥞1/2 c @bobsredmill buckwheat flour
🥞1/2 tsp baking powder
🥞1/4 tsp baking soda
🥞pinch of pink salt
🥞1/2 ripe banana (mashed)
🥞1 flax egg (1 tbsp flax seeds soaked in 3 tbsp water for ~10 min)
🥞1/2 lemon juice
🥞1/2 c water
💥combine dry ingredients 👉🏼 whisk together wet ingredients 👉🏼 mix wet into dry 👉🏼 add in blueberries 👉🏼 cook over med/low heat 👇🏼top with berries + @traderjoes mixed nut butter
