November week two! I was kinda MIA yesterday, and feeling meh today. I’ve been trying really hard to get out of the 180’s but don’t seem to be getting anywhere. I’ve been feeling frustrated and discouraged when I looked at my weight from last week and realized I was down 4 pounds this week. I’m a person that needs a constant reminder about the progress I’m making because it’s very easy for me to get distracted and want to give up. Today’s lunch😱 I originally made the ham & cheese salad but when I checked MyFitnessPal, I discovered that I would have only been consuming 498 calories for the whole day!! Seeing as I’m going to the gym later on I thought I need to boost it up by about 500 cals so I went and got a Slimming World lasagne. Have you been moving enough this week? You don't need a beautiful forest with waterfalls or even a nice beach to walk on. Power walking at the gym on a treadmill or even up and down your street will do. The point is to just keep moving!
This quote really strikes a chord in me this time of year. I usually use the holiday season as an excuse to put my goals and boundaries on hold and indulge for two solid months.
January 2nd comes around, and I'm confronted with the consequences.
From that low place, I expect to start over again with a list of resolutions.
This year I am going to smash my goals and stick to my boundaries during the holidays, and use that momentum to seize 2019 as my year!

Seriously some of my favorite childhood memories are eating peanut butter Cap’n Crunch for an afternoon snack in front of the TV watching Legends of the Hidden Temple. Sigh, nostalgia.😭❤️ .
Cereal is a great convenience food, but now I save the sugary ones for a treat. Still, there are some great options that you can keep on hand for when in a pinch. Bran flakes are a staple in this house. They have great fiber content and will keep you full for hours. If you think they’re boring, think again! You can upgrade your bowl of cereal with a few staple items. 🥣
➕Add your favorite fruit, like berries and banana, for important vitamins and minerals, plus some natural sweetness.
➕Add your favorite nuts, like pecans, for a dose of healthy fats and a little crunch.
➕Add milk or yogurt for important protein and vitamin D.
➕Add cinnamon which can help lower blood sugar levels and adds great flavor.
Convenience foods, like cereal, are great when you’re busy and in a pinch (or cause you just love cereal). Just remember to upgrade your bowl by adding your favorite staple foods to help you feel fuller AND for more flavor.

I made Alfredo without cheese 😂 I didn’t even know this was possible but it tastes amazing.
Blend the following:
1/2 cup soaked raw cashews
1/2 cup shelled hemp seeds
1/2 cup original unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 garlic cloves
Sprinkle of nutmeg
I mixed zoodles, red bell pepper, spinach, basil, nutritional yeast, grape tomatoes and capers into the sauce👌🏼 I only used like 1/4 of the sauce tho not all of it!!!

I don’t even know what to call this smoothie 😂 I think it looks so pretty tho 😍 2-3 frozen bananas (idk how many it was), 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup frozen cherries, 1 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut milk, 1 cup water, unsweetened coconut shreds, 2 dates, chia/hemp seeds, and a scoop of spirulina! YUM
