I’ve been moving further from the role of virtual assistant and coach to virtual assistants and more into my dream role of online business manager to coaches.
One of the questions I’ve been receiving is what is my role as an online business manager and how this differs from a virtual assistant. I plan to cover this in depth in an upcoming blog post, but here are a few differentiators to keep in mind when hiring an OBM such as myself:
📌 Virtual Assistant often takes direction from their clients and are task-oriented, whereas an Online Business Manager works independently and is project management oriented.
📌 Virtual Assistants focus on their task lists and their deadlines whereas an Online Business Manager focuses on managing an entire team (typically a remote team) on behalf of the business owner.
📌 Virtual Assistants work with clients within a specific industry regardless of their income level, whereas Online Business Managers typically work with business owners who have reached a specific income level.
As you can see, these two are very different from one another and can often be misinterpreted. Do you need both? Absolutely! Hiring an OBM usually means you have a team you need to help to oversee. However, many coaches I’ve worked with (and am currently working with) have brought me on to oversee the hiring and training process as well. This is where my 10+ years of experience as a VA is helpful.

Parece que aquilo vai permanecer sem solução pra sempre. As vezes é a perda de um emprego, uma amizade desfeita, um negócio que deu errado, o dinheiro que perdeu, um amor que azedou...
E aí, que quando isso acontece passamos tempo demais remoendo o problema, tristes pelo resultado ruim, infelizes com o infortúnio... E perdemos esse precioso tempo apenas focando no problema... A tarefa dessa semana é: toda vez que se deparar com um problema se dê apenas um tempo curto para pensar nele. 2 ou 5 minutos serão suficientes. Em seguida, decida que a partir de então, focará apenas na solução!!! Perdeu dinheiro? Pense: como posso fazer para ganhar mais e cobrir o que eu perdi?
Relacionamento deu errado? Pense: Como posso me melhorar e lidar melhor com as minhas emoções para que eu possa ser feliz sozinho, antes de tudo?
Negócio não deu certo? Pense: O que posso aprender com os erros que cometi e como posso fazer para garantir que não cometerei os mesmos erros no futuro?
E assim em diante!

No one is following you around with a clipboard taking notes on what you do (or don't do) and then handing out gold stars for how much sense you make, or how much you measure up against anyone else. Except for the little man with a clipboard that exists in OUR OWN DAMN HEADS, that is not a real job! What a relief, I know.😅
So yes -- just a gentle reminder to keep doing you, and then do you some more, and then when you think you're done, go on and do you again. Amen. And of course, Happy Monday.🙌🏻😘

Everyone has an opinion, which is great, because it offers us different perspectives. It’s just not ideal when that perspective can start to confuse us, especially about our health and wellbeing. 🤯
The fact about gluten is that it can be bad, but not for everyone. How do you know if you’re in that everyone? You take a test, or you listen to your body. Keep a diary of what you’re eating, log down the way you feel after you finish, and bring the results to your coach. Let them help you decide on whether this is getting in the way of your health goals and if it is create a strategy to help you manage the problem. Let your coach be your get out of jail free card every time the gluten goblin pays you a visit.👻

I haven't been craving smoothies in weeks because it my body was all about warm and spicy breakfasts. But today, I knew that I wanted a green smoothie and this one hit ALL of the right spots! It was CREAMY, naturally sweet & super satisfying 🙌🏾😌
Here are the ingredients in case you crave one soon too:
1 cup spinach
1 cup coconut milk
1 mini pear
1 Tbsp flax seeds
1 Tbsp of sheep's milk yogurt (optional or use dairy-free)
1 Tbsp of @boostyourself
green powder (optional)
Dash of cinnamon + turmeric
1 Tbsp of frozen berries mix
Blend until creamy and add your favourite toppings. Mine today: coconut flakes, walnuts, pumpkin seeds

Nouvelle semaine d'entraînement la 3eme de mon cycle puissance.
Cette fois c'est officiel l'hiver est là mais curieusement il fait moins froid que la semaine dernière en ressenti 😎.
Cette nouvelle semaine commence par un footing d'une heure (allure trankilou)avec quelques beaux faux plat et une grande partie courue sur les voies du tramway (vraiment très sympa)😙😁
J'aurais pu trouver milles excuses de ne pas y aller (froid,nuit pas top,gillets jaunes 🤣) mais quand on a un objectif on ne lâche rien.💪

Toe sitting it by far one of the most challenging things for all of my athletes! 🦶🏼
Let’s talk about some common movement faults that happen when this active rest posture is hard to access. 🤓
✅ most important as you see in these videos he is having a hard time keeping the weight bearing over the toe joints on the ball of the foot. Despite the name, toe sitting, the weight SHOULD NOT be on the toes. Ideally, the long bones of the foot should be stack directly over the joints. 👌🏽
✨ a great modification for this and for him would have been to elevate his toe joints higher then his toes with a pad or folded towel, to decrease the requirement for toe extension. Or add more pillows for his knees so the ankle and toe rang of motion is less.
✅ maintaining even distribution of weight from medical to lateral (inside to outside). You see him wanting to favor the outside of his foot and turn his heel in on the right.
✨ this correction can be fixed with using the yellow ball between the ankle bones and curing them to hold on to it by reaching their inside ankle bones towards the floor and their foot out to the side. (Eversion) ✨ you may also have to elevate the range of motion to make it more achievable!
✅ the movement is painful, or extremely uncomfortable! This should not EVER feel painful, being in pain will only create more tension and lack of mobility.
✨ meet your body where it is at each day! Use as main pillows under the knees as needed then add 2 more!! I promise you if you do this pain free and consistently you will see a huge change in mobility and an effect up the entire body. (Be sure to do a check in body scan before and after like, walking, squatting, or single leg balance)
Also even though this is considered a rest posture for humans doesn’t mean it is for you! It only becomes a rest posture once you can get in and out of it comfortably and sit in it for an extended period of time without pain.
So if that is not possible you work or this as an EXERCISE to practice moving in and out and improving the mobility. Do it a few times multiple times per day for the best results!

Feeling our emotions, whether pleasant or unpleasant, is essential. We can notice the grasping, or the aversion, and as best we can let be. Our body wants listened to. It holds a lot of wisdom. 💛
In all of my Alzheimer’s prevention & brain health exploration this is definitely the most exciting, profoundly transformative lifestyle practice that I’ve learned about thus far:
What is it?
A well researched 12 minute yogic singing meditation called Kirtan Kriya that I learned about from the Alzheimer’s Prevention & Research Foundation in conjunction with UCLA
It can have enormously positive health and wellness benefits for one’s overall health, brain, memory, mood, energy, genes, cells, immune system, sleep and psychological and spiritual well-being.
Benefits reported include:
* better blood flow to the brain
* decrease in depression
* inflammation decrease
* decrease in memory loss
* increase in healthy genes
* increase in telomerase! .
Practiced over an 8 week period, improvements on cognitive performance on memory testing improved and changes were detected on the cellular level. A groundbreaking study at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior’s Longevity Center researched the practice. Their evidence showed that telomerase was inceased! Those are enzymes linked to structures at the ends of our chromosomes, which affect how our cells age. In fact, telomerase was increased by 43 percent, the largest increase ever recorded. (Telomeres are protective “caps” on the tips of eukaryotic chromosomes. Telomerease can extend telomeres, which is positive since longer telomeres are associated with longevity where as shorter telomeres are associated with diseases/aging.)
