I've finally been able to meet @marigsn
and invest a good couple of hours on a series of portraits with the Mamiya C220. I've got to admit, I've never really approached portraits in a very organised fashion. It made me feel disorganised and it left the outcome open to so many variables that were out of my control. It was different this time. I had a clear idea of what I wanted to produce and I worked with it together with Mari, explaining bit to bit what I had in mind and focusing on getting a perfect result from camera. I think this all paid off. In this series, one of three that I worked on with her, I wanted to insist on her traits and create some kind of repetition of colours, mood, and of course the person. Wonderful tone results from the Fujicolor Pro 160s. The Mamiya works particularly well up close and shows just how much detail and tridimensional depth you can get out of it.
