are doing? Read Below!
What is your project about?
We are developing a sustainable alternative to today’s oil based wetsuits. Today people are trashing wetsuits almost every season because the low durability of the material. Wetsuits being a petroleum based product, this frequent consumption has a significant bad impact on our environment. Also, to stay warm we need wetsuits that are very thick and this restricts our movement and performance. At vik sports we are developing a sustainable wetsuit with higher durability and flexibility.
Did you consider yourself an entrepreneur before you started the project?
I would consider myself a typical engineer. In my opinion an entrepreneur and an engineer both solves problems, but maybe in different ways and with different motives.
What happens in your project now?
We have in many aspects verified our material as competitive to current solutions and we are now ready to create our first demo products. These will be provided to customers to receive feedback on our product.
Where can people find out more about you and your project?
Either through our website or on our Instagram channel:

How has venturelab helped you and your project develop?
We are two persons running vik sports, Jakob Mattsson and Eric Holmström. Both study Nano Technology at LTH and VentureLab has started to convert us from engineers to entrepreneurs. It has been a great challenge to start thinking as a sales person instead of a developer. But it is necessary. The free coffee has been a big help as well…
