My office doesn’t mess around with Thursday Treats!
We’ve all heard that snacking at work will “bust your diet” and “add extra calories” to your week. Keep in mind that a balanced diet can’t be busted, but here are my tips for managing your intake when you’re faced with endless temptations:
•Plan ahead, if you can. I asked what Sydney was making this morning and ate a smaller breakfast at home.
•Consider what will help you feel your best. Store-bought cinnamon rolls wouldn’t have enticed me or made me feel good, but there was no way I was missing out on buns homemade from scratch!
•Bring your own. I often bring my own snacks or meals to office parties if I want to be social but prefer my own food, want a healthier option, or want to stick to certain goals.
•Be confident, and don’t judge. I don’t comment on what others are eating, and if they question me, I tell them the truth: I had planned my meal and just prefer to eat that right now! Simple as that.
