• 1 oz (1/4 cup) peanuts.
• 1 oz (1/4 cup) almonds.
• 3 oz dates (I prefer medjool).
• 30g/4 scoops @furtherfood
• 30g peanut powder (I used @crazyrichardspb
• pinch of salt.
Pulse nuts and dates in a food processor until they form a sticky dough. Add powders, and keep blending until well mixed. (If it's too dry, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until mixture just sticks together, but not too moist.) Press into the bottom of a square pan, freeze, and slice.

Chicken Pot Pie 🐔🥧
Growing up, chicken pot pie was my all-time favorite meal. So when I saw this recipe on @whole30recipes
I knew I had to try it. While it’s really more of a Shepherd’s Pie - topped with potatoes mashed with ghee instead of a flaky crust - the filling is so reminiscent of the freezer aisle pot pies of my childhood. It was also surprisingly easy to make because I used @traderjoes
Mirepoix (pre-cut celery, onions, and carrots) and saved myself a ton of chopping time. I’m talking 30 minutes, start to finish. This recipe is definitely a keeper! #krissyskitchen

bun that won’t fall apart & doesn’t taste weird! Yummmm! I think I’ve perfected my bison burger technique, so much so that I no longer want ground beef burgers at home 😳. Bison is just so much tastier & don’t have to add a lot of ingredients to make the perfect patty. It actually is considered a lean protein & is packed with lots of iron, zinc, & a high vitamin B content. This burger is complete with some #SecretSauce
, sharp cheddar, bacon, & leafy greens! ———————————-
▫️Ingredients for the patty: 2 lbs of ground bison (yields 6 patties) + splash of coconut aminos + salt, pepper, garlic powder, & optional add green onion. I used @againstthegraingourmet
original rolls + organic sharp cheddar + garlic aioli sauce + spinach + nitrate free all natural bacon. —————————————
▫️Directions: Combine patty ingredients in a bowl. Form into patties and set aside on cutting board or parchment paper. Heat cast iron skillet (or you can grill) on medium/high heat. Make sure to grease your skillet (I used olive oil spray). Cook patty 4-6 minutes on each side depending on if you want pink or not. Note that bison cooks much faster than ground beef! Cook your bacon & add that along with other toppings to your burger. For the rolls, straight from the freezer you can wrap them in a paper towel and defrost in the microwave for 60 seconds & they’re ready to go!! I meal prepped the patties to take for lunch throughout the week as well! 🤩

Happy Saturday! If you saw my IG stories last night, I made this bruschetta to take to a dinner tonight. I like to make it the night before so that the flavours can meld together.
This recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, Whole30, vegan, and SO DELICIOUS!!
6 Roma tomatoes
4 green onions
4-6 cloves of garlic - minced (I used 6 cause I ❤ garlic!)
4 tsp Italian seasoning blend (oregano, thyme, basil, rosemary)
1 Tbsp parsley
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
¼ cup olive oil (I prefer the extra-light tasting one for this or @chosenfoods
1. Dice the tomatoes and chop the green onion.
2. Mix in the seasonings, garlic, apple cider vinegar, and oil. Cover & refrigerate overnight.
Eat it on everything!! ENJOY! .

Organic butter lettuce, marinated onions and shredded chicken breast topped with roasted shiitake mushrooms, roasted Japanese sweet potato, micro greens (so happy I found these at the market!!), and avocado topped with hemp seeds.
For the past week I’ve removed all nuts from my diet because I know they trigger inflammation in my body. I love snacking on nuts, baking grain-free treats with almond flour and having a spoonful of nut butter here and there-but if I over do it I notice my digestive, skin, energy/mood symptoms arise almost immediately.
If you’re consuming a food too frequently it could be helpful to remove them for a period of time to see if your symptoms clear up. I’ve done this with gluten, grains, dairy, legumes, coffee, alcohol and sugar at certain points in my life and it’s given me so much valuable information about my body. In addition to finding out which foods don’t serve me, I’ve also discovered which foods make me feel my best!

⚖️ Sometimes we can make really simple dietary substitutions that have big impacts on our health. 💪🏼
1️⃣ For example: We can substitute conventionally-farmed eggs (which are not bad and certainly inexpensive and nutrient-packed) with omega-3 or pastured eggs which contain a significantly higher amount of carotenoids to make your brain and eyes work better.
2️⃣ Or swapping out highly processed “cheese foods” and replacing them with a personal favorite, nutritional yeast. I love this stuff. It’s packed with vitamins and protein and tastes delicious in salads and on eggs.
3️⃣ Or saying goodbye to weird, oddly preserved shelf-stable commercial pickles and getting raw pickles instead, in the refrigerated section of your supermarket, which are teeming with lactic acid-producing beneficial bacteria.
4️⃣ And finally, commercial salad dressings are borderline dangerous. I grew up on this stuff! Let’s swap them out and replace them with extra-Virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar for an anti-inflammatory brain boost.

1/4 cup Daiya Cream cheese 🧀 (will omit this next time)
1/4 cup Lactose free Greek yogurt
Lactose free cheese (of your choice)
6 slices turkey bacon 🥓
3 green onions
Spices of your choice! I did, a pinch of garlic, onion powder, white and black pepper, and salt!
Directions: break apart the cauliflower and place in a microwave safe bowl, add about 1-2 tbs water, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5-7 minutes or until soft enough to mash. Once done, add all the cheeses, spices and toppings. Bake at 400f for 25 minutes. Voila!!!! I feel so lucky to have people in my life willing to take on this challenge with me! My best friend from high school is doing her second Whole30 (except her yogurts for breakfast, her reintro taught her sugar free yogurt doesn’t bother her). It’s so motivational to get Snapchat like these from her!
In addition to my best friend from high school— my boyfriend, my best friend from college, and my best friend from work are doing modified Whole30s! This makes it so much easier when i hang out them... we don’t have our time together include food and alcohol.

Cute Pumpkin Spice Latte
It’s getting chilly out there. Stay cozy with this yummy, sugar-free Pumpkin Spiced Latte.
1 cup of organic brewed coffee ( I like @bulletproof
1 tablespoon of grass fed butter or coconut butter
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
1/2 teaspoon of maca
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix till frothy. Sprinkle extra pumpkin spice on top and enjoy!

Love finding new ways to make something delicious AND healthy! Check out these Zucchini Wrapped Enchiladas🥑🥫😍😛:
-2 zucchini’s (as thick as you can find)
-3 cups cooked shredded chicken (or ground beef, I did some of both)
-1 cup chopped yellow onion
-1 cup chopped bell pepper
-3/4 can tomato 6oz paste (4.5 oz)
-1 cup chicken broth
-1.5 cup salsa verde
-2 tbs olive oil
-1 tbs each: chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
-1 chopped jalapeño
-1/2 cup cilantro
-1/4 cup chopped green onion
-2 tbs lime juice
1.) Preheat oven to 350
2.) Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and bell pepper, lightly season and turn to low heat then cover
3.) In pot over low heat: add tomato paste, chicken broth, salsa verde, and seasonings (not fajita). Mix
4.) Add shredded chicken to onion and bell peppers, add two tbs fajita seasoning, then spoon on enough of sauce mix to coat meat. Mix and cover
5.) Cut zucchini in half then place on mandoline flat side down, long ways. On thinnest setting, slice both zucchini’s into thin strips.
6.) Take 4 slices and lay out into square pan with the slices overlapping(tip: if you don’t have a good size pan, make a structure out of tin foil and place onto a larger pan). Spoon on meat mixture and roll into enchilada shape. Repeat for rest of enchiladas.
7.) Spoon sauce generously onto top, add vegas cheese over top (can do without cheese or regular cheese if desired)
8.) Put in oven for 15-17 minutes
9.) Mash avocado in bowl with lime juice, add salt/pepper
10.) Once out of oven, spoon on avocado mix and add toppings
(Look at story for visual on how to slice the zucchini)
Served with cauliflower rice🙌🏻
Whole30 update✔️🍌🥑🍳🌱 @whole30
1. I really miss my oatmeal & dark chocolate but what I’ve realized is I don’t NEED these two things every single day, I was getting in the habit of always having dark chocolate mid day and after dinner! Now I’ve gone without it and I’m doing just fine.
2. I haven’t seen my abs this poppin in awhile and I can’t lie I’m pumped. I also haven’t weighed myself since January and it’s so amazing not having an attachment to the scale.
3. I’m no longer intermittent fasting which I’m SO happy about. I enjoyed it for awhile but then I realized I was always focused on I can’t have my first meal until this time or my last meal at that time; now I’m focused solely on my hunger cues and listening to my body🙌🏼 feels good to be back doing this!
4. I’m enjoying smaller meals more frequently than having larger meals less frequently (what I was doing before). My first meal of the day would always be the largest and now sometimes it’s something simple on the go(2 hard boiled eggs and a nanner) and sometimes it’s made at home!
5. Digestion is on point 👌🏼
6. Tyler and I have only eaten out 2 times (one being last night takeout) and also had the wedding we went to! I’m cooking more than I was before and I’m loving it!
7. I’m eating SO many more veggies than before and it feels good!
8. I’m no longer so focused on making sure if I’m getting in enough protein, carbs or fats in, just eating what my body is feeling!
9. I’ve been eating A LOT more healthy fats and wowwwza I loveeee it.
10. The last time I did whole30 was in 2015 and it forever changed the way I look at food and how much food is fuel. It feels so good to get back to this and change my perspective yet again! It’s taking me back to the beginning of my journey and realizing how important it is to fuel our bodies with whole natural foods❤️

I never have time to make breakfast.
Cue new-grad Robyn’s mindset.
What that really means: “I’m going to justify waiting in the drive thru, or stopping at Starbucks to get a donut or a pastry and a sugary coffee drink to start my day off with all things sweet and improve my stressed out mood”. Well really all that got me was 15 pounds, a continued sugar addiction, and $80-125 out of my pocket a month for a bunch of CRAP Americanized “breakfast” items that in other countries don’t even exist on a breakfast menu.
Then I was introduced to my breakfast love of the last 2.5 years. Packed with protein, probiotics, superfoods, and all sustainably sourced. But most importantly, tastes like a frappachino or a Reese’s milkshake without the sugary properties and mid-morning crash.
Oh and that it takes <5 minutes to make.
For the same price, my problem was solved. My GI system became more regular. I wasn’t crashing at 10 am and hunting for more iced coffee and treats.

I finished my first #Whole30
on Tuesday and I have been a bit of a mess since. I dont know what I am doing. I feel like I totally rocked the whole 30 but this reintroduction thing? I suck. I kind of wasted my cleaned out system and didnt reintroduce slowly. So frustrated. I feel lost without the strict guidelines... considering just following the rules even when I am not "on a round".
