Dinner tonight was paleo chicken tenders, sautéed mushrooms & asparagus, @farmhouseculture
dill kraut, and the ⭐️star⭐️ of the show: @paleomg
creamy garlic potatoes 🥔 •
I chopped the potatoes, & tossed them in a bowl with @chosenfoods
avocado oil, sea salt, dried parsley, ground mustard, celery seed (recipe calls for celery salt but I didn’t have any), garlic powder, pepper, & onion salt. Then I baked the potatoes at 425 for 30 minutes, then broiled them on high for 4 minutes to get them extra crispy. As soon as I pulled them out of the oven I tossed them with @primalkitchenfoods
garlic aioli mayo & pink salt 🧂🍽
These potatoes were so flavorful, definitely gonna add them to the rotation! •

Hurt people hurt people. You don’t see happy, healthy, and WHOLE people walking around and ruining days. The people who are hurting others are hurt themselves.
-Hurt looks like neglecting to feed your body properly and fuel it with nutrition to be physically and emotionally well.
-Hurt looks like growing up in a negative environment and not properly dealing with the side effects of that down the road.
-Hurt looks like neglecting getting rest and properly moving your body for it to function and live well.
-Hurt looks like being dealt a bad hand of cards in life and choosing the attitude of victim vs empowerment.
So many people are walking around hurt. They don’t realize that their diet, their lifestyle, & their CHOICES are causing that hurt within. And when you are discontent and uncomfortable with yourself, you tend to project that onto others in small, yet powerful ways. And it’s not fair.
I want you all to realize that you don’t have to hurt. Hurting is painful, but it’s not permanent. Healing is hard. It takes time. It takes CHANGE. As crazy as this sounds, the 3 most POWERFUL things you can do for your body and life right now:
1. Start making ADULT DECISIONS when it comes to your diet. You KNOW better. You KNOW that soda isn’t good for you. You KNOW that french fries aren’t nutrients. Those may taste good in the moment, but they are hurting you physically AND emotionally. And that hurt is building up. Feed your body what it needs to THRIVE.
2. Move your body. No more excuses. Get outside and move. Do yoga on YouTube. Walk 10 mins outside. Ride your bike. Get back to running. Exercise heals your body and brain. It allows you to use energy in a positive way and all of that hurt emotion will become lighter.
3. Get therapy. YES! I said it. Therapy. GO TO COUNSELING. Talking to someone professional and GOOD is one of the most helpful ways to heal. Therapy is a healthy and safe place to process where you’re at. It makes you learn more about yourself and you grow more confident with YOUR emotions and who you are. It’s empowering.
We owe the world a healthy, happy, and WHOLE self. It is then that we will truly be able to fully LOVE & THRIVE!
Cauliflower mash ✨ bag of frozen cauliflower (steamed), salt, pepper, garlic, earth balance “butter”, parsley. With an Aidelles chicken sausage and green beans. I love eating paleo because you can eat your heart out for very minimal calories and feel stuffed in a non-sick way once you’re done.
So here’s a fascinating find. Doing a Broth Part 2 post, and found out that while the vegetable and chicken organic broths are compliant, the beef, for some reason, has a ton of No-no ingredients added?? We have soybean oil, honey, molasses AND sugar.
I’m confounded as to why the beef broth needs all this sweetener. The soybean oil is less surprising.
I would still check labels here. I don’t know if newer stock of these broths will start including soybean oil, as right now they are using canola or sunflower.
In either case, made a delicious instant-pot chicken soup with the chicken broth above and it came out soooo good.
What weird nasties have ya’ll found in your food lately?
Skillet of my dreeeeeeams! Making a version of this for dinner tonight!
Whenever I’m super short on time (basically always) I turn to skillet meals or sheet pan meals. They’re so easy cause you can just toss some of your faves in a skillet and call it a day. My kind of meal 😉
The recipe for this chicken bacon ranch skillet is up on the blog (I’ll link it in my stories as well).

Today was a boring food day, all we really have is leftovers right now which is a struggle 😂
Breakfast: chia pudding (which is a nice break from eggs) it looks weird but tastes really good with fruit! Plus lots of antioxidants from the chia. (Lots of good recipes for different flavors on Pinterest if you want to try!) Lunch: baked potato w chili from last night
Dinner: sweet potato, sausage, bell pepper, onion hash •

My website is live AND there’s a new blog post all about my #acne
story! I shared the steps I took to get rid of it and tons of before pictures. Link in bio if you want to check it out 🙌🏼 #beforeandafter
You know you’ve found your people when they are also at a restaurant shoving the left over radish greens in their purses 🙌🏼🖤 right? @carlyeryan
So I made this 5 minute lunch the other day and used my doggy bag radish greens. I was so happy they didn’t go to waste!! Lesson of the day: don’t forget to save the green tops of your root veggies 🥕 They are sometimes more delicious and nutrient dense then the root veggie itself! Plus, zero waste and double the food for your buck...hell yeah!
On my plate: pan-sautéed, Wild-caught shrimp in @primalkitchenfoods
avocado oil + sautéed chopped orange bell pepper, brussel sprouts, onion & garlic + throw the shrimp back in as well as the radish greens + add a little water or bone broth to soften and scrape the pan, toss to wilt greens + topped it off w/ a few spoon fulls of my dairy-free pesto and mixed it all up! #cleanmodernmayhem #zerowaste #wildcaught #whole30 #whole30recipes #paleo #organic #foods4thought
Wanna stay healthy this cold and flu season? They say “eat the rainbow” for a reason....each colorful fruit or vegetable lends a unique blend of vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals that can help keep our bodies and immune system strong! Take this golden turmeric chickpea chicken soup from @ambitiouskitchen
for example....the red bell pepper provides vitamin C, the orange sweet potato provides vitamin A, the yellow turmeric provides anti-inflammatory properties, and the green cilantro provides antioxidants. Bonus- it tastes delicious!
These steak taco bowls are inspired by street tacos, with tender steak, pineapple salsa, plenty of guacamole, and quick pickled radishes. With cilantro-lime cauliflower rice, too, they’re Whole30 and paleo! Tag someone that would LOVE these!! —

Air fryer potatoes finally make a return! (Obviously, I’m out of Brussels and that’s why I had to make potatoes 😂) I talked about it on my story the other night, but Steven’s work gifted us a giant turkey for the holidays. We (aka Steven) finally made it last night, so we’ll be living off of turkey for awhile 😂. If you have any amazing leftover turkey recipes, let me know!
dinner in under thirty minutes 🙌🏼 // roasted garam masala sweet potatoes in the oven while I stir fried some stuff on the stove. the skillet had minced garlic, onion, mushrooms, hemp seeds, spinach, broccoli rice, leftover basmati rice, and some coconut aminos. after the potatoes had roasted for about 15 minutes at 425, I pushed them aside on the sheet pan and added four salmon fillets, which were rubbed with olive oil and topped with salt, pepper, and sage. ten minutes later, everything was ready to hit the plate! just leave out the real rice to make this a quick whole30 option.
My Ig friend, @danishealthyeats
inspiring me over here with the crustaceans 🦐. I mixed mine with, lime, Cajun seasoning, and olive oil baked at 400F for about 15 minutes or until pink. Underneath are tons of greens, steamed cauli pearls, salsa, cucumber, and sprouts 💃🏽 ♥️. Tomorrow is my last day of finals. I can’t wait to have my life back to do more fun activities with my kids and get my butt back into the gym (instead of the gym as my library for child watch 😂).
In the kitchen, wrist twistin’ like a stir fry 🎶🥕🥬
Dinner deats: Spiraled carrots with chicken (thighs) and Bok Choy sautéed in toasted sesame oil and coconut aminos then topped with the most drool-worthy “peanut” (almond) sauce 🤤
We ordered a @butcherbox
on Black Friday, and it’s been such a treat! We are typically not big pork eaters, but have been surprised and delighted by the quality of the pork chops. Aka they’re delicious. Especially delicious when sprinkled with @balancedbites
CoffeeBBQ seasoning and thrown on the grill. We had them last night with roasted broccoli and roasted shredded Brussels sprouts. If you want to try out ButcherBox, send me a message—I have a code to get some free extras with your order. •
Mmm... can you smell this through your phone screen? We’re literally DROOLING over this Buttery Garlic Herb Chicken with Asparagus! 🤤 This seems like a tasty idea for dinner tonight 🍽. Get the recipe from @eatwell101
-3 to 6 chicken thighs, bone in, skin on
-3 tbsp butter, divided -4 garlic cloves, minced -1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped -1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped -1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped -1 lb asparagus, ends trimmed
-1/2 tsp paprika -salt & pepper, to taste -1/4 cup (60ml) chicken broth, or water -Slices of fresh lemon, for garnish -Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
1️⃣: Pat dry chicken thighs with paper towels. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
2️⃣: Melt 2 tbsp butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, oregano, rosemary, thyme and quickly stir until fragrant. Be careful not to burn.
3️⃣: Lay chicken skin side down in the skillet and cook for 5-6 mins then flip and cook another 5-7 mins, until cooked through and a cooking thermometer displays 165 F (75 C). If chicken browns too quickly, lower heat.
4️⃣: Remove cooked chicken thighs from skillet and set aside on a plate. Melt remaining 1 tbsp butter in the same skillet. Once butter is melted, add asparagus to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Sauté asparagus for 4-6 minutes or until tender. Deglaze with chicken broth or water and give a quick stir to coat the asparagus. Reduce the sauce for one minute more.
5️⃣: Return chicken thighs back to the pan for a couple of minute and serve your buttery garlic herb chicken with asparagus immediately garnished with fresh herbs and lemon slices. Enjoy!

Hello picnic weather! #finally
😜 Might I recommend this for your next weekend adventure? A gluten free/entirely plant-based quiche – the crust took some time to master, it’s a blend of millet and sunflower – non soggy, light and holds perfectly.
The filling is a blend of tofu with sun dried tomatoes and spinach. Loads of spices in there – and a little black salt – which adds an eggy-like taste. I’ll quite often pull all kinds of wild things out of the garden and add them in – so go crazy kids.
Packed with protein, fibre, calcium, iron and zinc – this is a particularly nutritious meal.
Speaking of adventuring – Stipe and I aren’t heading away over Christmas, but we are going to explore as many walks and National parks in Auckland’s proximity. I think one of my favourite bush walks so far has been the track out at Wenderholm. Anyone have any suggestions to add to our list? And where are you guys off to? This break is so deserved isn’t it – what a year!
Adult chicken finger platter...needed a ton of GREEN because I’m still feeling run down and undernourished after a very extended weekend of birthday fun 🤠 eating this reminded me why I love Whole30 meals and feeling good: Almond-crusted chicken fingers, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, rosemary potatoes, and arugula 🍃 what’s your go-to meal/method when you feel on the verge of getting sick? Smoothie? Juice? Supplements? LET ME KNOW 💓
My ideal meal is a good balance of protein, carbs, healthy fats and GREENS, lots of greens🌱 I don’t measure anything or put a limit on how much I eat. I eat until I feel satisfied (but not overly full). I focus a lot on making vegetables the base of my diet and building on top of that. I love the way food tastes as it is and I don’t like to add a ton of extra sauces and seasonings. Over the years my taste buds have really adapted to appreciate simpler flavors. In my bowl tonight I’ve got pan seared wild salmon seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika. Roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes seasoned with avocado oil, salt + pepper and a big bed of romaine lettuce🤤
Santa is here-- and we are giving away a year of @spindriftfresh
! I’m so happy to be in the kitchen with my partners at Spindrift. What I love about them is that it's just sparkling water and real squeezed fruit from family farms. Yup, that's it! The Orange Mango is perfect for breakfast and it's @whole30
. Since there are so many parties and events during the holiday season, it's really easy to overindulge. So I am always looking for opportunities to keep my eating clean in between those moments. Breakfast is one of them. I love to make breakfast for me and Zach, with eggs, greens and my Marinated Red Onions and then we split an Orange Mango Spindrift. When I start my day clean and green like this, I am less likely to overindulge later. We are giving away a year's worth to a lucky winner , 9 - 8 packs a month for 12 months. So, if you'd like to win 864 cans of Spindrift in 2019, be sure to follow @nocrumbsleft
