We realized it’s been a while since we spoke about who we are and what we believe in... and after a few people asking us what being sugar-free means we thought we’d address those questions here👇🏻 🌿 @chels_costa is in her 4th and final year of her naturopathy degree 🌿 @ashleighcosta is a practicing kinesiologist with a previous degree in architecture 🌿we have been “sugar-free” for about 7 years but really we have evolved to be so much more than just that! 🌿Being sugar-free for us means avoiding (as much as possible and what is reasonable without being obsessive) added and refined sugars! We still eat fruit in moderation and use natural sugars when needed but largely our diets are filled with plants and wholefoods 🌿we are flexi-tarians and eat the way our bodies want us to and the way that makes us feel the best 🌿we chose organic & sustainable produce as much as possible 🌿we are also all about balance and promoting a healthy relationship with food and yourself 🌿we have a new website and blog that incorporates this page, recipes and our business (the link is in our bio if you want to check it out)
If you have any other questions you’d like us to answer in future posts or stories send us a message and we’d love to answer them 🙌🏻🌿✨💕👭☀️🌻
Stop in and taste some of our amazing organic, Maple Syrup. Produced right here in Amish Country. Maple Syrup has so many uses, like making these amazing Maple Sticky Buns.
Today only when you buy a half gallon of syrup, you will receive a free pint to give to your neighbor.
Poor Bennett has had a fever all weekend and very nasty chest cough, so I promised him I’d make him popsicles last night. These four-ingredient creamsicles are super tasty and way healthier than the store-bought version (which have 12g of sugar per bar and 24 unnatural ingredients. Not what his immune system needs). I also love that they boast that each bar only has 100 calories #petpeeve . As if that matters. 🙄
Here’s what you need to make your own:
3/4 cup orange juice
1.5 cups full fat Greek yogurt, plain (I used the Greek gods 8% for a creamier popsicle but why thick Balkan style yogurt will do)
1/4 cup maple syrup, though I usually use less as the OJ has lots of sweetness
1.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl and pour into molds. 🍊 #creamsicles#eatthisnotthat
