Grief Aid: Live music/theatre. My sister had the idea to take my mom to see Wicked for her birthday. I’ve loved this show since high school, when my friends and I would have the soundtrack on as we drove around town. It was a pleasure to see the show with them, especially since it was my moms first time seeing it. There is something so magical about the friendship, passion, and the overall message of that show. Plus, it introduced me to @maryspacekate
., the stars of the show. Later, in a true full circle/universe collision moment, they were interviewed on @girlsjustpodtohavefun
, a podcast by my favorites @jillandkate.
It was an amazing interview. One of my favorite things I’ve heard all year came from Mary Kate in this interview... “allow yourself to rise to the occasion”. I now follow both these gals on Instagram and I am inspired by their positive attitudes, passion for music, and overall kindness. They put a lot of love out into the world, and I was lucky enough to see them both pour their hearts out on stage. Wicked is so very special to me, and seeing it live with my mom and sister was one of the highlights of my year. As I said on my Taylor Swift post, give yourself the time to do the things you want to do. Indulge in creativity. It will spark something in you. #365daysofgratitude #wicked #musicals #family #podcast
