2:30 wake up call to watch sunrise in a cave was bloody unreal! Awesome to meet some new people and enjoy these adventures!
Well, that was a shock to the system! Because of late snowfall in Tahoe, Sea Otter was my first race of the season and oh boy do I have work to do! All in all an awesome weekend with the #giantcofactory
gang! #livbeyond #howweliv #livcofactory
Full blown spring at last!
Happy ANZAC day to all of our Aussie and Kiwi followers! It’s so good to see more and more of you holidaying on African soil!
Wow. 22 times around the sun.. Where does the time go?
Years ago, I could have never predicted the journey I find myself on today. This is one of the busiest and most demanding seasons I’ve lived through yet, but I’m learning so much. If there’s a lesson I walked away with from 21, it’s that life really is about the people you share it with. Achievements will one day be forgotten, but the impact you have on others and the impact they have on you will not. I’ve been encouraged this last year meeting so many new faces coming from different walks of life, and different perspectives. You never know what you can learn from a stranger on a plane, or an old friend you haven’t seen in years that you decide to reconnect with. I’m learning we are stronger together. Surrounding yourself with authentic people who live with passion and a sense of possibility can quite literally change everything.
Before technology (social media, blogs, apps, etc.) stories were told around a campfire.
I like to imagine that the warm glow would draw people in and encourage others to tell tales and share daily adventures. Feeling the heat and energy from the flames and from the storytellers encounters and adventures.
Our personal tales have mostly been replaced by short carefully curated written accounts on apps, just like this. Sure we can reach a broader audience, and yes, we can craft out a “perfect” story.
But nothing will ever beat the raw, unedited, authentic stories we have within us. The ones that no written words can properly describe. The stories you can feel by seeing the storytellers eyes light up, by watching their gestures and hearing the tone of their voice.
For me, these are the best stories. The ones that you can feel. I really do believe that the most beautiful things in the world must be felt with the heart.
I hope you all find many warm “campfire” moments in your lives. I think the simplicity, calmness and presence the warm glow brings could benefit us all.

My dapper man is 13 years old, aged like a fine wine. I love that salt and pepper nose, stopping to smell the flowers. 🌹🌷🌹
This is my good friend Dennis (@dennisstever
), we share a pretty interesting story. Having grown up competing against one another as flat water canoeists with out knowing it we connected years later on @instagram
through our passion for carrying around cameras.
Last fall our friendship became much more interesting (and convoluted) across the span of a few hours involving a trip to Kazakhstan, some frantic DM’s all while having 11,000km between us. I recommend checking out his take on his most recent post. Oh, and welcome to the west coast Dennis ☔️ @canoncanada @hellobc

I really believe that there’s never been a better time to be an artist, writer, traveler or photographer than right now.
If you have real passion for something just keep throwing yourself into it 100% and sharing it with others. You never know who might see it or who it could inspire.

What’s your favorite park ?
I was surprised to capture a decent silhouette after such a windy and dusty day. Isn’t it crazy how symmetrical the mountain looks from this angle? 🤭 #seekandlive
