We are super excited to introduce today’s New-waver, Jocelyn Hogan
Hogan Wines is a small, family-run business owned by Jocelyn Hogan Wilson and Dunstan Arthur Hogan. After seven years of working with various wineries in the Cape and overseas, Jocelyn decided to team up with her parents, Dunstan and Trish Hogan. The first harvest was in 2014. Jocelyn’s focus is on old-vine fruit that can tell the story of each vintage, and the vineyard sites are carefully selected to bring out the best qualities of the varieties they work with. For Jocelyn, understanding the nuances of each vineyard is central to making good wine.

From our favorite winery on the 'black sage bench' this 2012 malbec has a sharp raspberry attack, but low tannin finish. Yummy.
There are three major types of wine: red, white and rosé. However, there are different, less popular varieties, including orange and even blue.
We’re open from 5pm tonight for wine, delicious things to eat and all round good times. See you soon, Potts Point. #dearsainteeloise
We're big fans of Chianti Classico and other Sangiovese based wines in Tuscany and drink them pretty often, but this was the best any of us had tried for a while! At 13 years old this was exactly where you'd want it to be; caught between its youthful bloom and maturity, with the delicious balance of flavours that comes with it.
Dried, tangy red cherry and cranberry on the nose is enveloped with the warm earth, dried herbs and tobacco flavours of Sangiovese, with the smokey aromas of well-integrated oak lingering in the background. Still very fresh on the palate, with gorgeous, chalky tannins and a seemingly endless finish. Really delicious stuff.
A top vineyard (Rancia), from a well regarded zone of Chianti Classico (Berardenga) from a high quality producer (Felsina) in a highly acclaimed vintage (2006). Perhaps not a surprise that the wine was on such fine form, afterall!

Our oak barrels house what we love most. They’re vessels that harbour the fruits of our labour, perfecting and balancing our wine with each passing day 💫
