I’ve come to realize just HOW important stretching actually is! Growing up I did gymnastics and always played sports so never had to worry about making time to stretch. I also never had injuries or back pain back then..
Literally every pain I’ve had as an adult has now been cured by stretching.🧘🏼♀️🤸🏼♀️ I have extremely high arches and used to have plantars fasciitis so bad I actually got a bone bruise in my heel from it.. Yep, that shit HURTS!! it got so bad the doctors actually told me I just needed to have surgery and cut my tendon… So happy I am stubborn and did not listen🤣😂🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️
I started adequately stretching my achilles/calves/hammies everyday and no longer have this problem even though I work long hours on my feet! #winning
Earlier this year I had severe back pain and actually pulled a muscle in my lower back. I thought my days of squats and deads were over.. Guess what, no more pain and I am back to those lifts! I discovered my GLUTES were actually so tight that it was causing a lot of strain on my lower back, so now I stretch my glutes/hips daily and voila NO MORE BACK PAIN!
Now what I am currently focused on is my shoulder mobility. After a pole vaulting accident where I broke my right clavicle and tore pretty much everything, I lost all flexibility in my upper body which is leading to bad posture. I am determined to regain the flexibility I once had so please share some of your favorite stretches or exercises for mobility?!
