A proper warmup and activation of the CNS should be an important part of your warm up. While stretching, dynamic warmup, and smr is good as well, activating the muscles that you going to workout for the day will help get them ready for the demand of lifting the weights and help prevent injury. Try these exercises on your next chest or back day. Med ball chest pass 3x20 superset with pushups 3x10. For back try single arm band rows 3x10 each arm. Go win the day. This past week, Daryn’s memorial bench, that overlooks the playground, was installed at one of our favorite places, Brigham Park. It’s where our wedding photos and last family pictures were taken. Countless walks and family picnics and only a mile from our home.
It’s a funny thing to look back now, knowing how the story goes. Though I obviously wish the ending was different, I can’t help but look at the chapters and story lines that brought me to this exact spot, where God knew I’d be all along. .
I’m not even close to the women I am today without the influence of Daryn. Daryn set me up beautifully to love deeper, live bigger, appreciate every moment and to of course, win each day. .
Though I now know a deeper sorrow than I could ever imagine, I also know a joy that reaches depths I could never before touch. Time is ever so fleeting and I won’t ever waste a moment of it. #wintheday

thing motivates you? Personally, I would say results. Seeing results helps me push through the days where "Im not feeling it" or "I don't have time" to work out. If I'm seeing results I'm gonna keep going.

Here’s the cut and dry truth. I’ve never plan on buying an online course, I don’t outsource promotion, I do me. If you know me personally, I’m one that wants to do things by my vision because that’s the only way I’ll truely ever be successful. I’m always inspired by those who have created great things with their visions, but I’m never going to copy them bit by bit. I love the content I produce, and those who love it, that’s what I aim to reach. Not everyone will like you in the long run, and that’s fine. Quality will always outrank quantity. Leads, followers, clients, it doesn’t matter. If you do one thing extremely well, go all in. Don’t just half-ass 10 different things. So stay true to your own plans people, nobody is going to hold your hand.
Some people will never see how dope you are.
Some will ignore it.
Some will be jealous of it.
Your job is to GRIND in the dark until GOD turns the spotlight on your gift.
My advice to you is to Shine so bright that they look crazy trying ignore your LIGHT.

I’ve had this calendar since high school. When I first heard the term, “Win The Day”, this is what immediately came to mind and it’s still so true!
The only thing equal in life is that we all get 24 hours each day, what we do with it is what separates us.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, PART 6/6 OF THE SPINAL HYGIENE BREAKDOWN: THE SPINAL WAVE! This movement will focus on targeting your full spine and should be done after you have warmed up with the previous movements. It is important to move slow, rolling down one vertebrae at a time, and engaging the muscles of your posterior chain as you come back up to the top position. If doing this standing is too difficult, one can start off sitting in a chair. Work through the range of motion at which your body will allow. Over time, you will gain an increase in your range of motion, and your movement will become more fluid.
That’s it folks. That is the spinal hygiene routine that I do everyday. The cost of investing in preventative care is a lot cheaper than the cost of reactive care. Remember that. .

Man, y’all. I had a ROUGH end to my weekend last night. Which is such a shame because it was really quite a lovely weekend. I killed it at boxing, I stuck to plan ALL weekend, and I got to lay in the pool, AND I lost 4 pounds this week which I was stoked about. I did that thing I was talking about, where I decided to keep a food log last week. For the last few weeks I hadn’t lost any weight at all but felt that I had been doing pretty well sticking to plan and I had been boxing at least 4 times each week. But nothin. So what the hell was up? This week I kept my food journal and wrote down every little bite of anything I ate. And when I thought back on the last few weeks I realized where I might be making some mistakes. ⠀
BOOM. So I tightened it up this last week and got back on track. Feels sooo good. And now I’m focused again on what I really need to do, to get to my goal. ⠀
This quote strikes me because as I said, I had a bit of a rough night last night. I found myself standing there having things said to me that just completely flattened me. Deflated me. Made me feel like a burden and a complete fuck up. So many things started running through my mind. Are they right? I’m worthless. I made mistakes and hurt people and now I deserve this. I deserve to feel humiliated and worthless and that I’m not good enough to try to move on and make a better life for myself.⠀
And you know what? NOPE. We’re not doin that here any more. We’re not going down that rabbit hole because nothing good will come of it. And you know what we deserve? GOOD THINGS. We all do. We all make mistakes and sometimes those mistakes hurt and affect others as well. Does that mean you aren’t worthy of moving on from that time in your life to try and be better? Does that mean you don’t deserve good things in your life? Does that mean you have to always live in the past and with the humiliation and the sadness? NOPE. ⠀
Accept your choices, good and bad. Acknowledge your mistakes and wrong doings. And then BE BETTER. If someone wants to hold onto the past and hang things over your head and rub your nose in your mistakes forever, bye Felicia! The only person that can actually keep (contin. ⬇️)

Lately I have been a little frustrated, okay A LOT frustrated, with my workouts since I have been limited with my shoulder acting up. I was in good place a few weeks ago, rocking my workouts, killing my mobility work, eating well and then my shoulder flared up. I was unable to practice animal flow, could barely put any weight on my right side, and was in so much pain I had trouble sleeping. ✨
After a quick pity party I had to shift my focus and take one thing at a time. My lower body felt fine so I upped my plyo game. My mind needed some nourishing so I spent time in nature. I learned new ways to improve mobility and control movements. Slowly, after putting in the work, things began to improve. ✨
So when you hit a setback, remember that nothing happens overnight. It is a cumulative of daily effort that leads to success. So lace up those shoes and put one foot in front of the other each day. ✨
