One day a student came to my room to retake a test. She was very concerned about getting her grade up so that she could have privileges back at home. After she took the test we talked about big picture stuff like learning and doing your best to demonstrate that learning. We talked about setting habits now while in a safe environment. We talked about making mistakes often means we’re learning an important lesson! Through conversation with her I started to gather that she’s challenged by keeping track of assignments and remembering to study. I asked if a planner would be helpful. She exclaimed “Yes!”. I showed her mine, explained that I started using one in 6th grade and that even as an adult it’s super helpful. I showed her how I use it, how mine came with fun stickers.. After the weekend went by my student returned on Monday so excited to show me her planner! The coolest part- it is a mini version of the planner I showed her. Same stickers and everything. Different cover to suit her style. Sometimes we just need reminders of the big picture (and sometimes small picture) stuff. Like.. “Be the example!” &

Sigh! Around this time of year discouragement, frustration and worry usually sets in and those darn uncomfortable feelings invite themselves to the forefront of your lives. Goals are not accomplished, the product idea didn't make it off the pages of the journal and plans not made for the new year.
Yikes!!! Phew!!! I can understand why many of you would feel the need to entertain these feelings but you shouldn't. You've done your best and honestly you still have time to accomplish a few more things. SO what are you going to do? Sit around and entertain those feelings which btw can become harmful to your health or take some time and figure out what can be done in the next few weeks and get it done.
Whatever is left, seriously make peace with sliding it onto your 2019 list. You've done well! It's time to celebrate and enjoy the holidays.

As I enter my 🎉33rd🎊 year of this life, I feel like I'm barely starting to tap into potential that God has given me to share with the world. Leaving a lasting impact means more to me now than ever and Im leading with the purpose that is slowly becoming more clear. Taking a glance back at my path traveled it makes me even more excited for the one I'm on and about to embark on. .

Come Behind-the-Scenes and hear how I set my day that has allowed me to have me time and work-out time by 7:15am ⏱⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I look at my work schedule the night before, so that I know what time I need to be out the door in order to make it to work for my 1st meeting. I can then adjust my morning routine accordingly. The one thing I can adjust much is what time I get up….4 am is THE earliest I can start my day!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☝🏼 First: up at 4:15 am ⏰ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How you ask? I use Alexa as my alarm, and keep it in the bathroom so that it forces me to get out of bed to turn it off...and I use Alec Baldwin’s screaming voice as my alarm 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☝🏽 Second: Coffee ☕️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

☝🏼 Fourth: Exercise 🚴♀️🏋️♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is key….I NEED to exercise , otherwise I feel off all day, physically and mentally. I LOVE to eat, so I NEED to exercise. Depending on the day, I can only make 20 minutes work. And that’s OK. Other days I can fit in 45 minutes. The key is to do some sort of exercise MOST days of the week. I usually take off one day a week, but some weeks I may not take off any, and other weeks I may take off 2 days. Remember...the key is to fit exercise into YOUR schedule...you may prefer evenings (for me, I don’t have enough time after work...driving 🚗 home takes an hour, and then finding time for dinner)….and to find out what kind of exercise you LIKE…there are a lot of options….TRY them out till you find what YOU that feeling of YES, this is for ME⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is where I have been starting my day every morning for the past two weeks and let me just tell you it has made a world of a difference in my life. ✝
For whatever reason here lately it seems like everyone I talk to has been really struggling with anxiety. 😕 Myself included as you know, if you've seen my previous post.
As I 📖 read my Bible every morning, one of the main verses I have been drawn to over and over is Philippians 4:6-7. It says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus. 🙏
If you are struggling with anxiety, take comfort in this verse. 😘Believe me, I know it's hard to let it go sometime, but Whatever you are anxious about you have got to turn it over to the Lord. It truly is the only way you are going to find the peace you are looking for! 💞
