Nothing to lose, but a world to see 🔥
Found ourselves a new activity 🤙🏻 I can (almost) keep up with Oliver on this ride. #powderhound
Erin Moynihan is not only an incredible @womenofcolorado
events supporter, she is an inspiration to women beer brewers everywhere! After learning to brew from her cousins, she decided to take the leap of faith & moved to Colorado to pursue her dream of being a beer brewer at the well-known Eddyline Brewing in Buena Vista. Although she has faced adversity being a female in a male dominated industry, she excels at keeping her attitude positive & her mindset limitless. The friendships she's made, the knowledge she's gained & the non-traditional work atmosphere keep her motivated and falling in love with her craft more & more each day. Erin knows that in order to thrive in anything, you need to immerse yourself in learning & to love what you do! She's hooked us up with beer flights & brewery tours, we couldn't be more grateful for her stoke & passion for uniting rad ladies over a tasty pint. Read more about Erin's journey to successful pursuits in Colorado beer brewing culture within the first post of our "Women Who Inspire" interviews on the @womenofcolorado
blog. Head to www.womenofcolorado.co, scroll down and click "Blog," and be sure check out what Erin is up to at @brewsandshrews
on Instagram & Facebook. We already can't wait to visit her for our Bloody Mary, Beer & Brunch activity at @eddylinebrewery
during our upcoming Winter retreat February 1-3! There are only three spots left, so come hang with us & find out why we chose to interview Erin for being such an inspiration! #womenofcolorado #womenbrewingbeer

‘Tis the season to overindulge. Am I right?!😋😆
After an incredible weekend food, cake, and beverage tasting with my love, I’m feeling the residual effects of every single bite (and sip). We ate so much delicious food at our rehearsal dinner venue and wedding venue. We got to pair different wines with each course, which was such a treat! I’m pretty sure that my favorite part of the weekend was the cake tasting though. I just love me some cake, but my oh my am I feeling like a slug right now.🤦🏻♀️
I really enjoyed every minute of this time that I got to spend with my future husband as we planned our special day, but I’m so unbelievably happy that I have a workout program to turn to as I reassess my fitness goals. As a new week starts, I get to press play and shift my focus back to the commitment I have made to myself on this fitness journey. Yes, I got off track, BUT I am not going to feel bad about it. I’m going to smile thinking about the beautiful memories we’ve just made and I’m going to keep moving forward.💪🏼❤️
well she’s walkin through the clouds⚡️with a circus mind that’s running round
Well this weekend completely just rocked my socks off. And all because I had the BEST running adventures.
Yesterday: Fastest Coach in the State race in Lyons, Colorado. BEAUTIFUL course. Hard of course, but who cares. It was a blast! Met so many coaches from other schools. Grabbed beers & food with some new friends after. Can’t beat it.
Today: 10 mi run on Magnolia Rd with new friends from yesterday! Sometimes I still pinch myself that I live in this amazing state. I only have to drive an hour to have the opportunity to run at 8500 ft & grab some good elevation gain. Brunch post-run, and now I’m home & ready to take a much-deserved nap 😆
Conclusion: I freaking love living here & having access to these beautiful places 💙🏔🌲 #runningadventures #werunColorado
what’s my favorite thing about winter? when it’s over 😂 but this year i’m actually getting outside like never before🏔 ☀️
Having “coffee” in the hot tub with these guyssss!... 😋
Thanks OK guy!
There’s just something so tranquil about hiking in the snow.❄️
Found out last minute that I had the day off yesterday so I hit up @thehikingmermaid
to see if she wanted to adventure...of course she said yes! We didn't get to set out on the trail we originally planned to do but with this lady it doesn't matter where you are headed...you just know you are going to have the best time. Thank you Chelsea for helping me cross off hike fourteen of #hundredhikesforheartdisease
and for an absolutely perfect day in the mountains 💙
The morning before I signed up for a half marathon, I told myself if I could get myself up the fire road North Table Mountain, I could do a half marathon. Something about this road just always seemed completely impossible and beyond me, so I figured if I could get up it, I could also do something as impossible as a half marathon. I signed up for the half that afternoon, and now on week two of training I’m back to prove to myself I can hard things. #outdoorbeginner
Cheers to a beautiful blue bird day out on the slopes! Fresh powder, no lift lines and lots of sunshine made today extra special.🎿❄️
I’d have to say, the workout programs that I’ve been consistently following have really prepared me for ski season. My legs are definitely stronger than they were last ski season and my endurance has improved greatly. Now if I could only avoid feeling nauseous after each and every chair lift ride, then I would be in great shape.😆💪🏼
Happy Friday! What is your favorite winter hike?!?!?! ❄🌲❤
I’m curious - who of you take the day before a race off completely, and who of you do a little shakeout run? I’m typically of the latter, but today I decided to take the day off & just walk a little (I have a fun 5K tomorrow). I’m curious to see if I actually notice a difference tomorrow or not. 🤔 we shall see!

• let’s talk RECOVERY •
I truly believe that the reason I’ve been able to continue to increase my mileage recently, without injury and without feeling run-down, is due to my recovery methods. I used to always skip the small stuff: I didn’t know how important it was - until I started getting older & began never quite feeling recovered on runs. Runs were feeling like a death march. I was constantly plagued by aches, pains & injuries. Until I started prioritizing recovery - prioritizing the little, monotonous things that are so important. I’m going to list the things I do almost daily, and please feel free to comment with any additions YOU personally do!
1. Stretch! Easiest thing you can do after every run. No equipment needed.
2. Yoga. Obviously this is similar to stretching, but more intensive. Give yourself one or two days/week to go through a little flow at home, or take a class!
3. Foam rolling. This has been a GAME CHANGER for me. I used to foam roll once, maybe twice/week - now I do it usually twice/DAY. This little piece of equipment has become my favorite accessory.
4. SLOW RUNS. I used to do all my runs as fast as I could 😂. Seriously. It was ridiculous. Now, I savor my recovery & easy runs. I can’t stress this enough. ITS OK TO RUN 8:30 PACE, or 9:00 pace, or 11:00 pace! In fact, it’s smarter! Don’t let comparison on Instagram affect your paces. Or comparison on @strava
. Don’t post your paces if you’re really feeling influenced! It’s YOUR JOURNEY. And I promise you, you’re going to be more successful than the next person who doesn’t understand the benefit of taking recovery runs.
5. Professional massage. Many of us can’t afford this regularly, but I definitely recommend getting one a couple weeks before a goal race.
6. Keeping active, even on off days. Days off from running are important, but it’s also important to keep moving. Blood flowing through your muscles will promote faster recovery than just plopping on the couch all day.
⚡️Long post warning⚡️
I have to share my feels since they’ve been so awesome lately. I had my annual physical a couple of weeks ago and found out I lost 12 pounds since last November. I don’t care about weight anymore (I used to be obsessed), but I was shocked. I am almost at the weight I competed at for NPC’s bikini class in June 2017 😳. When I see photos of myself last winter, I can see the difference. Aside from the exterior stuff, my ENERGY has improved, as well as my MOOD!💃🏻
I started working at @enrgperformance
last January and learned all about Metabolic Efficiency. Where I used to log my food every day into My Fitness Pal (yes, even as a dietitian...I mean, I like numbers and I guess you could say I was still a little obsessed), I am now COMPLETELY free from logging ANYTHING. 💪🏼
I practice what I preach— I control my blood sugar through what I eat, practice intuitive eating and enjoy things (like, but not limited to: 🍕🌯🍷🍺🥯🍪) when I want em. And let me tell you: I AM EFFING HAPPY. I feel so freakin good, physically and mentally. Life is gucci.🙏🏼
If YOU feel like you need any guidance on improving athletic performance, body composition or intuitive eating, DM me. I would love to share knowledge with you. Everyone deserves to feel good! 💯
Long post over. Thanks for sticking around. 💚⚡️ #keepmovingforward
The weekend cannot get here fast enough!
The past couple of weekends have been spent "adulting" 🤮
This weekend, I get to play!!! I feel like it's been years since I was in the mountains, it's only been 12 days 😂
Is it Friday yet?!
👋🏻 I am not sure I have ever done an introduction and since there are a lot of new faces following along, it’s about time. ↟
My name is Kelsey and my side kick is my 3 (almost 4) year old rescue pup Oliver. I’m 29 years old, born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado. Adventure was already in my blood when I was born at the Vail hospital. ↟
I am an optimist, have a very loud laugh, and cry during almost every movie I watch. I am a girly outdoor lover - meaning you will see me without a shower for days, dirt in my hair and happy as ever, however I also enjoy putting on normal human clothes, doing my hair and makeup, and hitting up the local brewery. ↟
I am a full time physical therapist specializing in concussions, dizziness and neurological disorders. I love my job and my patients, they are inspiring, strong and resilient. I get just as much joy from my career as I do the outdoors. Therefore, what you see on this app is the highlight reel of my weekend warrior adventures. ↟
If you couldn’t tell, I’m a full on obsessed dog mom. I will try my absolute hardest to never leave Oliver behind on an adventure. He is my constant source of inspiration to get outside. He has completed over 20 fourteeners with me and I get so much joy from having him in my life. ↟
I believe that everyone here on this little app is a badass, everyone is working their butts off to be the best version of themselves. We should support and love the big and small triumphs of those around us.
Thank you for following along on our adventures. I love your comments and connecting with you guys on a deeper level. I would love to know something more about each of you now that I have given you a glimpse into our lives, feel free to leave a comment and I can get to know all of you better. ❥
Day 3 of our 7-day trek to Machu Picchu in Aug 2017 & we tackled #Salkantay
We came, we saw & we kicked it's a$$! 😁 Elevation 15,200 feet attained through rain, sleet, snow, ice, slush, mud, river beds, boulder & rock fields, cow dunge, horse manure, etc. LOL. 😁 Apparently, it's extremely rare to encounter snow on the pass, and we were fortunate enough to experience this magical day! 😁😁😁 #machupicchu #hike #hiking #hiker #hikerchick #hikerforlife #hikingtheglobe #lifeisgood #livenow #beinthemoment #explore #nature #adventure #travel #getoutside #optoutside #bucketlist #lifeisanadventure #worldtraveler #traveltheworld #northface #camelbak #salomon #asics #womenofcolorado
