3 easy miles this morning before quickly packing the car and heading to the Tennessee mountains for the week. Dollywood, an apple orchard, the movies, shopping in Gatlinburg, relaxing, eating, and hopefully a few runs are on the agenda for this week.
Running here is difficult because the rocky road we are on is hilly and is about a tenth of a mile so I’ll have to run up and down a million times (actually 10😉) to make just one mile. But, ya gotta do what ya gotta do! #noexcuses #justdoit

Feeling these JELLO LEGS!! I survived my first bike then run immediately after! And boy was it such a weird sensation!! 😂 45 minutes on the bike at 90-100 rpm then 20 minutes on the treadmill. It felt so so good to sweat and keep my body moving! I'm skipping the arm workouts this week so I can discern better between soreness in my neck and shoulders from the wreck and not from working out haha
And with today's workout I am officially past the halfway mark of this training cycle!!! Feels awesome!! Getting closer and closer to race day and I am so excited!! This is so fun seeing all that my body is actually capable of doing!

This marathon training cycle is about no excuses, putting in the work, and getting it done. Honestly I’m loving it. I have more support than ever before and more people that go on runs with me. Between Sunday group runs, weekly runs with Alex, daily runs and workouts with my boyfriend, and even just some alone runs, I’ve been given a lot of variety and I’m feeling strong.
I have officially set my fall marathon, too! After the NYC Virtual threw a wrench in my plans to run Richmond, I had to rearrange my fall schedule. Now, I’ll be celebrating my 25th birthday with 26.2 at the Space Coast Marathon!! It’s going to be the perfect way to end an almost week long birthday celebration. ☺️

What a loooooong day! 13hours in the office after a weekend of working and a nightmare commute in this morning but....I survived which means I’m 1 day closer to the busy work period being over - whoop whoop! 🙌🏼
I always knew when I signed up to my first #triathlon
for it towards the end would coincide with my busiest time but after tonight I don’t regret it at all. ☺️

🇩🇪 Nach dem gestrigen lauffreien Tag fiel es mir heute Abend überhaupt nicht schwer die Schuhe zu schnüren und los zu laufen. Mein Ziel war die Domäne Marienburg, die ihr hier auf dem Bild seht. Übrigens eine Trutzburg. #wiederwasgelernt
Danach bin ich noch ein Stück einem Radweg gefolgt und dann querfeldein abgebogen und am Ende waren es 15 Kilometer. 😅 Danach hatte ich ordentlich Durst. Ich hatte nichts zu trinken dabei und bin weder an einem offenen Supermarkt noch an einer Tankstelle vorbeigekommen um mir etwas zu kaufen. Habt ihr für solche Fälle eigentlich auch einen „Notgroschen“ (bzw. -Schein) dabei?
🇺🇸 After my lazy Sunday without running I couldn‘t wait to run today. But family first so we enjoyed the sunny day and spent our time at the playground and in the backyard. After Emil felt asleep I put my running shoes on and started my run. I wanted to run to the Marienburg, an old castle close to Hildesheim. On my way back I chose another way and was really surprised that I did more than 9 miles today. It was a really good run but I was thirsty when I arrived home. I didn’t take anything to drink with me because I haven’t planned to make a long run. 🙈

3 months ago today I was soaking wet and freezing instead of soaking wet from sweat like I was this morning. 😆
In all seriousness though, I’m quite sure everyone who ran that Marathon Monday pulled more out of themselves than they ever knew they had inside before. It’s a day I’ll never forget. A day that will forever remind me that I can do hard things and push through extreme conditions to finish what I started.
This doesn’t make me special....I have no doubt you can do whatever you set your mind to and face whatever challenge is in front of you right now. Let this be a little reminder of that as you start the week.

Exactly 4 years ago, I bought my first @gopro.
I started taking a lot of family photos which morphed into running photos. At the same time, I decided I didn’t need Instagram to be my second Facebook and started sharing my running journey instead. But it hasn’t been without a lot of extra heartbeats and courage. To this day, I still get a little nervous right before I hit “share”. 😬 But I couldn’t be happier that I’ve stuck with it for these years because the friendships and opportunities continue to grow. Thank you for being with me and making make every extra heart beat completely worth it! ♥️
Sorry I've been a little quiet, but truthfully I haven't been running consistently these past few weeks because uni and my anxiety has completely taken over my life! Today was a good day so I decided to come home and run 5 miles this evening, and what a beautiful run it was! I do have a little niggle in my Achilles so I think I'm going to pay a visit to @allthingsphysio
this week to get it seen to before it starts to interfere with my training! Let's hope my training picks up a little now, but who knows with uni! 😫😫😫😫
Running has always been something I enjoy doing, it is my escape. And I definitely feel like I’m escaping reality when this is my view. Side note: did you know Tampa has the longest continuous sidewalk in the US?

Great start to the week with 5.1 miles with strides this morning.
It is very rare that I eat before a workout. When you typically wake up at 4:30 to get your workout in... the thought of getting up any earlier was enough to say “nah... I’m good”. ⏰ Well... with my change in schedule, I am really grateful to have this food to fuel me! ....word on the street is that I’m going to need it to power through a tough 39 minutes! So...here it goes! 💦

Downhills are harder for me than uphills. I can muscle my way to the top, but I am always afraid of tripping to my death on the way down. This picture was taken right after I basically tip-toed my way down the second picture’s hill. Any trail runners have advice or techniques to share?
My quads are still sore from this race, but I’m already excited about Ridge to Blazing Ridge 21 mile in August!

Appointment is taken for Monday, to start the week on a great workout 😅
I choose the “sprint class” with Marion, which is less from being the easier class (but I love the challenge, hein?)
The class was 45 minutes of spinning, closer to a classic rpm class than to the more choreographed class at Dynamo, highly cardio, alternating between low and high speeds, sitting and dancing positions, endurance and sprints with more/less resistance ✨
A perfect combo for cardio, leg workout and prep for running or triathlon.. 🏃🏼♀️
Plus, you can follow your real time stats (speed, strength etc.) on a screen with all participants for more challenge ! ⏱
The studio has a welcoming lounge, a spacious spinning room, a luxury changing room with everything you need: towels, hairdryers, hair & skin routine by @ritualscosmeticsfrance

Had such a good weekend exploring the hills in Exmoor this weekend! I just love being able to jump out of the van, put my trainers on and go exploring! I wouldn't be able to do it without my partner in crime @william__ingram
who gets me up in the mornings and drags me up all the hills!
Wherever you are, there are always suburbs to be found, parks to be run through, hills to climb and plenty of dogs to be stroked!
