This is Summer. Isn’t she beautiful. Today Summer skipped school and ran off with Autumn. So in science class that would = Winter. Yes Winter was here today. D- Summer. Bad form. 🤯🎄🤷🏼♀️
In The Gash, we turned around at about 11,200’ after sliding off the the last pitch to the tarn more often than we liked. On my way down, besides thinking “don’t slide, don’t slide, don’t slide” I couldn’t help but fantasize about how this area would look in the Spring... probably decorated with flowers and rock moss, the sound of flowing water, and probably sun, lots and lots of sun.
I’ll be back! @kelsintheclouds
, u down?
Can’t go to mermaid pools without posting a pic 👌🏼
Two days ago Amber found a fresh turkey sandwich in the middle of the road. It will forever be referred to as the Turkey Sandwich Miracle of 2018.
“Hallelujah,” she screamed.
The very next day, her ball sunk in the ocean. She bobbed. She swam in circles. She exhausted herself in what we now refer to as the 2018 Incident of the Drowned Ball. “Why have you forsaken me?” she whined.
And then we have tonight - the night she went on a lengthy solo walk only to return with a teensy stuffed squirrel. One that she found in the woods. In the pitch black. We’re calling this day The Day of the Magic Fake Baby Squirrel Rescue.
“Is it breathing?” she yelped as she placed the baby squirrel gently on her dog bed/pouf/throne before stepping back to watch it.
Why am I telling you this?
I don’t know. Maybe it’s just a reminder about peaks and valleys. Or maybe it’s a lesson about divine intervention via sandwiches. Or maybe it’s a love note to tell you that you’re loved just as much and just as hard on miracle days as you are on the more disastrous ones.
still one of my favorite places to be. ✨
When I first started entertaining the idea of moving to SLC, I remember seeing photos of the pink mountains and thinking that they must be heavily edited. I didn’t think I’d really see “pink” mountains. But something magical happens when the sun sets and the light hits them. They glow pink. I get excited every time. This was one of the first times I saw the slightest hint of it after the move. I was running and just couldn’t stop taking photos of them 😻
Me: “Let’s go this way!”
B: “I think we’re trespassing...pretty sure this is the back of someone’s restaurant”
Me: “It’s not trespassing until someone kicks us out!”

My fave Royal Caribbean port! Next year they’re adding a new port called Coco Bay in the Bahamas and it’s a huge water park! I love water park and water sports so I’m definitely looking forward to this! We are SOOO booking a cruise to there! Have you cruises before and how do you like it?

Current mood: Quand je te parle, je ne suis jamais seul.
Sometimes you just need a beach all to yourself complete with a giant swing 😍
Although I was born in Penang & have been to my hometown numerous times, unbelievably this was my 1st time to Monkey Beach at Penang National Park 😅
: If Batu Ferringhi Beach gets too noisy or crowded for you, make your way to Monkey Beach .
If you like a good workout, make your way to the entrance of the Penang National Park in Teluk Bahang where there is free parking & start hiking
This easy jungle trail is less than 3.5km & you just need to follow the coastline or the map at the entrance. Always nice to hike by the sea which is something I cannot get hiking back home in Kuala Lumpur (see my Stories for pix)
Use the toilets at the National Park office before hiking. There are no hotels or restaurants here. Only a few stalls selling drinks can be found. So bring along some snacks & water
Stay tuned for tomorrow's tip on an alternative way to Monkey Beach without hiking ❤ @travelistajen

Sir Ed did a rad job putting this airport in. Not only did he open up a world of opportunities for the communities who needed help but he gave me and everyone else the opportunity to see the beauty of Sagarmantha National Park. The people, the mountains, the culture... everything 😍
The flight is nothing to be afraid of as well. Trust me I was so scared of this part lf the trek 😂 It was actually the most beautiful flight ever. Flying above clouds as the sun rose 😍
P.S. never buy butter chicken from here 😂
As I recoup from this cold I'm planning my next snowy adventure! Anyone have a fav winter wonderland they just love!?
There’s something about the magic of holidays that always makes me feel like a kid! Can’t wait to capture that same light this weekend! Stay tuned!
I think 2006 was the last year I had a Christmas tree back home. It was the year before we hit the big “crisis” and ever since then, celebrating the holidays was just an unnecessary expense of time and money. To be here in a new city and to see Christmas decorations everywhere brought back a forgotten smile. So forgive me if I continue to spread some holiday cheer on my feed ✨ #AdvenShar
Taking in the lake views ❄️
Making the most out of a rainy day!! We had to change our snowshoe plans due to avalanche terrain & ended up exploring around this magical spot instead 🌲🌧
Hiking mood is officially ON 🏞
A moment in time when the heart beats louder than the mind ☀️❤️
Clearly obsessed with mountains and lakes 🏔 🌫
