There used to be a time in my life where writing was the way to get all the emotions out ....As time went on I lost that part of who I was because I felt like it was insignificant, it was silly, etc etc.. the lies of self doubt!! I am a work in progress and writing is in that and I am thankful that this part of who I am was brought to light again by some amazing people in my life and a couple of heart tugs!! My only hope now is that through truth written in words that I can speak light and life into your lives.. the reason I started a brand new blog was to say the things that come to my heart mixed with life and some creative outlets.. it's not easy pouring out on paper for the world to see but if it touches only one person than that is what I was intended to write! _____________________________________________________________

We had a great weekend, spent some quality time with the girls and was also able stay on the wagon as far as my goals.
I’ve honestly just been feeling so good and I’ve lost some weight but really the best thing is how confident I feel. .
I’m working on a lot of goals that aren’t just health related and it just feels awesome to know that I’m actually working towards them and not just sitting around hoping something different happens.
I’ve got some great friend and family support around me but also in a short time I’ve already connected with some awesome people here on Instagram. I love this community of cheering each other on!
I’m excited for what this week will bring and it feels great to start the week knowing I didn’t spend the weekend backtracking on any progress I’ve made.

Get kids up start breakfast and lunch making routine! Then the chaos begins!
My son texts me while he’s out walking the dog that the dog can’t poop and he wants me out there. Wth am I going to do to make the dog poop easier? This dog today anyway!
One trying to get out the door to University, one to high school and I’m struggling to get out to drive my son.
Some days I wonder how it all just happens? How we make it through tough starts? Somehow we just do. An hour later, what was chaotic then is a whole lot peaceful now.
Yes the dog is napping...hopefully he sleeps his weirdness off!

Hey everyone! Can we celebrate another Monday together? When you think of Monday do you dread it? I certainly used to. Yes, there may be parts of it that are a complete drag, but what if you could approach a Monday with a sense of renewed excitement about starting fresh for the week? .
It’s a new chance to start again. It’s an opportunity to take one step toward a goal you’ve been working towards. Everyone has goals, wishes, dreams. Do you ever mess up when working on them? HELL yes! Does that mean you give up? For some it does. But not YOU. You know that EVERY DAY is a chance to take a positive step in the direction of your dreams. .
Appreciate and love who you are RIGHT NOW, because this is the person who is taking you forward into the future. .
What are you waiting for? There will ALWAYS be things that get in the way. So what? Waiting till they go away or calm down is just an exercise in procrastination. How much time will you waste waiting for the perfect time? .

this morning. She talked that we should not just focus on our strengths but also our weaknesses - particularly how these weaknesses hold us back from reaching our full potential. Our weaknesses are part of our identity and we behave in alignment with our identities.
If we identify as lazy (a weakness) when faced with a situation where we need to take action, we will resort to our state of being lazy and do nothing because that is who we are in our minds!
The first step to changing these parts of us that are holding us back is to identity what they are, and identify how they are holding us back. Once you can see how these weaknesses are holding you back, you can then see what you can do to improve of them.
I just sat down and wrote down the 5 parts of my identity that are holding me back and it was crystal clear how all these weaknesses work together to hold me back. The best part was that it was also clear how I can improve on them!
So try it! Write down the 5 things that are holding you back and get ready to grow! ✨🦄
Long post warning:
I participated in the @otfcedarrapids
sprint dri-tri (our version of a triathlon) yesterday. It’s the second time I’ve done it and honestly, going in, I felt like my treadmill skills have improved enough that I’d improve my time. Well, I did improve my time (by 15 seconds), but my treadmill portion stayed exactly the same!! Ugh, I was really disappointed if I’m being honest!! I didn’t feel super strong on the tread portion but still thought it had to have gotten better. But guys, even though that didn’t improve, I still beat my previous overall time. So I could dwell on what I didn’t accomplish, or be happy for what I did. I chose to celebrate what I did and figure out how to improve what I didn’t. I talked with one of the coaches afterwards, got some tips and showed up for my usual class this morning to go about putting those tips to work and getting better. The first picture is after the event yesterday, second is my workout summary from this morning...where I implemented exactly what was suggested. The point is, we have a choice every day....be bitter, or get better. Let our setbacks sidetrack us, or regroup and figure out how to be better next time. I felt so positive after my workout and that today was going to be a great day and then my kids woke up 😬. Somedays they push all my buttons all at once and they can’t eat their breakfast and get ready for school unless I am standing right beside them prompting them!
Also....anyone else struggling to get their kids to wear a proper jacket to school now that it is getting colder 🙋♀️ ...
Time to regroup so I can still have a productive day!

Went away up north for the weekend. That crispy air, and breezy days is definitely relaxing. Until you come home and back to facing reality.
After a relaxing weekend I found myself sluggish this morning, which totally means I didn’t want to stretch.
I thought about it more and realized I would feel a lot better getting down and stretching than I would of the couch.
