⭐️My everyday routine, non negotiable❌ . And boy, have these changed my life! . ✨My hair and nails are so much stronger(and I dye my hair regularly!) 💇🏼‍♀️ ✨My skin is so much clearer apart from the one off blemish here and there, and I’ve had acne prone skin for as long as I can remember. 💎 ✨ my energy- no longer am I dragging myself out of bed every morning and struggling to get through the day, or relying on coffee☕️ ✨no sickness! - knowing I’m flooding my body with 33 different fruits, vegetables and berries has kept all those sniffles at bay for me, improving my immune system! 🤒🚫 . ENNEAGRAM So I’ve been digging into this Enneagram thing (personality test) for a while now because, well personality tests are kind of my jam. I studied Psychology at university and anything that helps understand why people do the things they do is very interesting to me. And although personality tests are fun and great for a laugh sometimes “OH MY GOSH that is SO ME!” there is so much more to gain from knowing your personality type and that of those around you - they are a fantastic TOOL! I have found the enneagram particularly helpful when it comes to Sam and my relationship and navigating that. Sam and I have very different personality types and sometimes it can be extremely difficult for me to even understand where he is coming from or how he is viewing a situation. Since delving deeper into the Enneagram it has taken us on an interesting journey of self-discovery and has helped me understand how Sam sees things and why I sometimes seem completely nuts! It has opened my eyes to not just my frequent behaviours but the reasons WHY I react specific ways to different situations. The book I have been reading is The Road Back to You, as well as listening to LOTS of podcasts and reading up online. One thing I love about the enneragram is that once you have your number (and often a “wing number”) it outlines how a “healthy” “average” and “unhealthy” version of that number behaves. So this can really help to become more self aware and work towards the “healthy” version of your number. I was listening to a podcast recently about the Enneagram and the expert mentioned that this isn’t about 9 types of people but instead 9 paths to God. And whatever you believe (whether it’s in God specifically or the universe etc.) I loved this. Because when you understand your type you get to then do the “soul work” and make the connections to find your unique path to spiritual growth. Sam and I are working on how we can better communicate knowing these specifics about each other and it helps us be more self aware (continued in comments)

I will never forget this Sunday hike! Celie decided to scream and cry for at least 30-45 minutes because she was overly tired. I tried everything to make her happy, nothing worked. So finally about 20 minutes from the top of the trail I decided to carry her. She fell asleep instantly. Those last 20 minutes felt like they’d never end. A 30 pound sleeping toddler is not easy to carry up a mountain, but in the end it was totally worth it. Because we made it! That view and Celie’s complete mood change made for a perfect afternoon. Depression is sometime I continuously struggle with, and out of no where it hits me like a train. 🚊 . I felt like I wasn’t getting results, and that I was letting my nutrition slide so I was getting hard on myself and Corey had to look at me and say “jessi, you’re being too tough on yourself. Get back to when you did this and had fun.” He was right. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I was being extremely critical and it was taking a toll on me. . So I decided to just be more mindful, and actually look at my progress. I was shocked. 😳 I had made so much advancement and have gotten awesome results but I wasn’t realizing it. 🤦🏼‍♀️ . Living the Uber mummy life...sucking back on supafoods #life 🙌🏼 grateful for trusting my intuition on what feels good for my body 🙏🏼 Cos there was a time when I used to deprive myself of all food due to the busyness of life, only to come home and gorge on anything I could find. The freaking havoc it wreaked on my body and the messed up mind shizz I’d go through afterwards was epic #notinagoodway I’ve really had to learn to heal my relationship with food to achieve wellness and it took a whole lotta trust in myself and my intuition. The struggle of being too busy to care for you doesn’t have to be so babes. You need to shed the layers of made up complications and trust within. You KNOW what you need to heal and nourish your mind and body, but’s it’s gotta start with belief that you do💜

Sometimes all I can fit in is a 30 minute workout 🏋🏻‍♀️. I’m grateful that my commute to the gym is really short, I never have to deal with traffic, and I don’t have to worry about others taking “my spot” 😉. Plus, I can choose my trainer for the day 👍🏼. . . I haven’t used the resistance bands in a few months....I didn’t miss them. . . 4 moves, 2x15 (2 sets of 15 reps), medium weight/loop. Work the eccentric part of the move - slow for 3 counts and explode on 4. Adds more time under tension on the muscle and bound to make you feel it in the morning 😳💪🏼. #athomeworkout #bod

A bunch of random not so great pictures to showcase an amazing weekend. 👌🏻Between trying to finish up my classes in school, being sick, and it being Black Friday week my heart was heavy and soul was tired. I managed to get the weekend off so we packed up the kiddos and headed to Columbia TN. It was just what I needed. We kinda turned last week into a mini-vacation⛱💆🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️ — We were sick as dogs and woke up feeling like crap every morning (and it was actually in the mornings since our night schedule was ruined after we slept 14+ hours). My hubby and I both called off Sunday and slept until Monday morning. Woke up feeling crappy but after some tea and medicine, we felt pretty good.. and HUNGRY!!! 🤤🤤🤤 — So we decided to get breakfast and go to the mall afterwards since we never get to do day stuff cuz of our night lifestyle 🙄lol. Then we get Chipotle and headed home to watch a movie. Then we hit the gym for some cardio and abs but couldn’t breathe and was getting a headache so we went home after about an hour. But we went! 👍🏼🙂 — Tuesday we stayed in and had a small breakfast and lunch since we had plans to have dinner with some of Tim’s brothers. We had homemade pasta and pizza, some alcohol and a couple of Oreos 😋 and then went home after calling AAA cuz I locked the keys in the car 🤦🏻‍♀️ (thank god for their free roadside assistance!) — Wednesday we wake up craving pancakes but feeling oh so lazy 😴 So we put on some sweats and headed to our local Denny’s. Instead of getting pancakes tho, I opted for a fit fare skillet which was under 400cals and a hot chocolate. And we had a $2, 2-stack pancake for the both of us as our bfast dessert 🥞😌 — Thursday we woke up and found that our puppy Ghira had an accident while we slept and there was blood 😳 so we immediately decided she needed to go to a vet but we couldn’t be seen till 4pm. So we chilled and ate at home till then. And let me tell ya, that was a HEFTY ass bill 🧾😬😫 — Luckily she seems to be doing a lot better. Her blood work looks fine and the parvo test was negative. She must have just eaten something funky or maybe it was because we had to feed her adult dog food for a while and it wasn’t going down as easily (which I told my husband from the beginning that we shouldn’t so I think I should get an “I told you so”) 😅 — So overall it was a good week, but got crazy real quick. I’m just glad Ghira is doing better now💕😊 — I think I did okay with calories tho. We’ll see how this next week goes since I’m still a little sick🤞🏼😷
