Sorry I was a bit of a ghost town last week guys. But guess what... I'm back!!!!! . I fell off hard last week. I slacked off and didnt meal prep at all and barely did any workouts. And I felt so sluggish and awful all week. . But I am human and those slack ass days or weeks happen. It's what we learn from them that matters most. . I learned and proved it to myself that when I do not put the time and effort in to myself, I slack off and I feel like absolute crap. . And even over this past weekend I started to feel a cold/flu coming on. So I got my ass in gear and did my meal prep for the week! . What you see here is: SNACK: a wonderful mango, cucumber, radish and mixed berry salad. LUNCH: brown rice, red cabbage, black beans and roasted garlic. SNACK: marinated 3 bean salad. . Day 86 of my road to recovery and I did my home physical therapy exercises late night. Doing my usual multitasking of football and leg workout. Wasn't feeling the best earlier so I waited until later to do it. I'm going to physical therapy 3 straight days starting tomorrow in preparation for my doctor's appointment on Thursday. This #workout was bomb and I am super happy with the turnout 👍 I gave #running another try but on the #treadmill instead, because it gives you the boost and is a passive form of running. #crosscountry running on the other hand, is solely initiated by you. I #ran 30 mins straight for a total of 3.5 miles (easy pace) and it felt amazing. It was smooth and not hard to #run that long so I’m stoked. Hopefully I can start being consistent again, even if it’s on the treadmill I’ll be happy ☺️ Followed by #corework 👌 #abs and #planks I prefer to train abs with my shoes off, because they are heavy and tend to throw off my form and tilt me in the opposite direction. NO DAYS OFF, THE GRIND NEVER STOPS! I’m walking out of the gym at 10pm on a Sunday night and if you’re not doing the same? You ain’t grinding!!!! For me to say that would be asinine - but I’m sure you’ve either felt that way, or been told to feel that way. The “No days off” mentality is a great way to seem hardcore, but not a great way to live your life. Some of you may have gotten up at 10am and went to bed at 8pm and got all your work done for the day. That’s great! Seriously - kudos to you! Some of you may be walking out of the gym along side of me because the day got crazy and this is the only time you have. Some of you may have to stay up and study/work into the night because that’s what has to be done. Some of you may wake up at 4 or 5am to workout before work, because again, that’s how your life makes sense and it’s the time you can get it in. Someone else’s “grind” is no better than yours. If you can be efficient within your day, there’s no need to feel guilty for not hashtag grinding. Had the opportunity to see some of our Pride Fitness athletes. Felt good seeing them running people over, making big tackles, and pancaking people. But it felt even better being rushed at halftime by half the team (when only a handful come to the gym lol!) . Love this group of young men and super proud of their play today. They dominated. Whether you box, crossfit, spin, dance, powerlift, etc., a strong core is paramount in most movements. Try this “Texas Ten Count” for a constant burn! Should take ~4 min to complete whole thing! Focus on keeping neck/shoulders off the ground and constant tension in the core. 🔥🔥🔥 #Ow (courtesy of @gratitudeandart ) 🙌🏻 // •2 crunches > left leg out for 3-5 seconds > left leg in // •2 crunches > right leg out for 3-5 seconds > right leg in // •2 crunches > BOTH legs out for 3-5 seconds > both legs in // •3 crunches . . . And repeat above sequence // •4 crunches . . . And repeat above sequence // ***Keep going until you eventually get to ten crunches with the same pattern. We spend our entire lives, before adulthood, craving the “independence” and “freedom” that we believe comes with being an adult⁣ ⁣ Then we get here and realize that adulthood is just endless boundaries ⁣ If we want things, we need to have a job. To keep the job, we have to get enough rest and show up on time and put effort into the job. No one shows up to do our laundry, pay our bills, make sure we are fed, you name it - it’s all.on.us⁣ ⁣ As a nutritionist I talk with my clients about this a lot. If we want something we don’t currently have, we have to do things we don’t currently do....if we want to have them forever, we have to do them forever - even when we don’t want to *insert me whining about wanting to not “adult”*⁣ ⁣ But that’s just the simple fact of it all. ⁣ ⁣ Want to be strong? You have to lift and be sore and push harder each time....consistently.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Want to be lean? You have to stop eating like an idiot, consistently. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Want to have healthy relationships? You have to tend to them... consistently. ⁣ ⁣ Want these things for the rest of your lives? You guessed it - you’re gonna have to do them consistently for the rest of your life. ⁣ ⁣ Does that mean your attitude is always going to be excited and motivated? NOPE - but it does mean that we have to come to grips with the understanding that being an adult (with things worth having) means acting like one repeatedly for the rest of our lives, EVEN WHEN YOU DONT WANT TO. ⁣ ⁣ The freedom we seek is in the dedication and commitment to the process.
. 腰がだいぶマシになってきたからジムへ。 ベンプレも85kgサクッと挙げれるまで戻ってきた、 10月頭頃には90kgまで戻せそうよかった☺️ . 基本ジムに行っても下半身は一切鍛えず、上半身も Tシャツよりもシャツ着たい理由から腕周りはあまり 鍛えてこなかったのですが、そのせいで服着てると全く 鍛えてるかわからないので、これからは気持ちだけ 腕周り等も鍛えていこうかなと思いました、、 ちなみに自分みたいに下半身鍛えない人は おしゃれ、ファッションとか揶揄されるらしいです😰 下半身は上半身の3倍のスピードで衰えるし、 全身の筋肉の7割は下半身に集中してるから 本来下半身を鍛えるべきなんは理解するけど、、、😞 そしたら週4.5ジム行かなあかんなってまうねんけど。笑 . とりあえず筋肉つけすぎない程度に 上腕二頭筋はコンセントレーションカールとアームカール、 三角筋はダンベルサイドレイズとフロントレイズ、 ベンプレ後の追い込みにダンベルフライを組み込む。 上腕三頭筋はちょっと考えます、あまりつけたくない(´・_・`) . #筋トレ #ジム #トレーニング #フィットネス #ワークアウト #ベンチプレス #水泳 #ナイキ #アンダーアーマー #スキンズ #workout #workoutmotivation #workouttime #fitness #fitnessmotivation #motivation #fit #bodybuilding #benchpress #powerlifting #training #gym #gymlife #muscle #skins #nike #underarmour #reebok #arena
