Perched on the top of the Aravali Hill and offering a mesmerizing view of the Maotha Lake, Amber Fort is a gem of a place in Jaipur. The fort is an architectural masterpiece and draws over 5000 tourists daily. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well.
Amer and the Jaigarh Fort are regarded as a single structure and a subterranean passage connects the two forts. It is believed that the passage was used to escape at times of war or enemy attacks.
