On my maternity leave I’ve thought long and hard of how I want to use this account going forward to benefit me and my followers. When I changed my name a year ago I wanted to share more than food and now I created a schedule of items that I’m passionate about and would love to share with this following. I’ve just posted a LENGTHY explanation on my story about where I’ve been recently. I just couldn’t get my head into the weight watchers game... but tonight something clicked and I figured I’ve been fooling myself. I want to get back on track. I NEED TO. Tomorrow is a new day, a new week... it’ll be good :)
RE ‘I quit’ (my story is rambly and lengthy) but essentially a lot has changed for me in 2018. I went through a breakup. I generally had a lot of stress and worry. And I’ve quit my stable job with people I love... but it’s for the best. I’ve decided to go TRAVELLING!!! I’m going to Nepal 🇳🇵/ India 🇮🇳 / Sri Lanka 🇱🇰/ Canada 🇨🇦 from August - December!! And then in the new year I’m going with the flow. .
I am terrified and excited and nervous and I want to feel my best, most confident self when I go. Right now I feel disgusting and bloated and KNOW I can do better. So... here goes. Hold me to account. I’m going to track honestly and open up and spam y’all again 😈😈😈

I definitely plan to enjoy the big team dinner I planned tomorrow night, but will stick to my normal on track meals the rest of the time. I have no intentions of not letting myself enjoy this trip, just because my weekend wasnt perfect. 🔺1 TL Öl
🔺1 rote Paprika
🔺800g passierte Tomaten
🔺2 TL Chilipulver
🔺1 TL Kreuzkümmel
🔺1 TL Oregano
🔺1 TL natreen Süßstoff (Pulver)
🔹Öl in einer Pfanne erhitzen und darin die Knoblauchzehe (gehackt), die Zwiebel (gewürfelt) und die Paprika (gewürfelt) für 5 Minuten auf mittlerer Stufe anbraten. Dann höher stellen und das Tatar zugeben und weitere 5 Minuten braten. 🔹Salzen und Pfeffern
🔹Am besten dann alles in einen Topf umfüllen, da es in der Pfanne nicht alles passt.
🔹Dann die passierten Tomaten, Kidneybohnen und Mais zugeben.
🔹Nun noch mit den Gewürzen würzen und für 10 Minuten köcheln lassen.

After a bit of a rowdy week/weekend I just needed the goodness of a Jamaican Baked Tilapia! 😍😋🐟🌶🥕
I’m like operating on slo-mo today.
So breakfast was pancakes. I took a recipe that was suggested when I posted about the banana pancakes, and tweaked it. That was because I didn’t have enough flour, so I used what flour I had and almond flour. And because the mix didn’t taste very pancake-y, I added unsweetened applesauce and truvia. It came out pretty darn good with the tweaks!
Here’s the recipe. Tweak it so you like it! I also did a video. The link follows after the recipe.
Two point pancakes:
1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup NF greek yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons truvia (or whichever artificial sugar you prefer)
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup + 2Tablespoons water
Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Cook pancakes over medium heat. Makes 12-14 pancakes. Two points for 1 pancake.

Rest day on steps but that doesn’t mean I don’t do anything. Our bodies are made to move not sit all day long. So today I picked up the weights! Did upper body (high rep, light weight today)
I do lift weights during the week, this is my 4th or 5th time this week but the difference today is no cardio
What do you do on your day off?
Other good options:
Going to the park or zoo with the kiddos
Lawn/garden work (really is a full body workout)
Cleaning (that counts!)
Shopping (yes - you’re moving - maybe not getting a cardio workout but you’re body is moving and that’s good!)
A nice bike ride
Your movement doesn’t have to be a traditional workout like mine - have fun with it!!

"I remember someone telling me 'fat loss is easy, you've just gotta eat less calories than you burn in a day'.. but 2014 me was like why am I struggling so much? 🤚back then it actually had more to do with my hormones, stress and unhappiness, in 2015 I got that all in check and then it became about exercise 🏋🏼♀️, 2016 was focussing more on macro counting & food which brings us to 2017 me, me now 🙋🏼. Still wanting to lose fat (but challenge that mentality), but focussing more on body decomposition through building my muscle and repairing my metabolism 💯💥. I'm moving into REVERSE DIETING phase which is brilliant for many reasons 1️⃣ if you've been in a calorie deficit for ages (1 month +) and are no longer losing fat but want to be (your options - lower your cals even further DO NOT DO THIS or reverse diet DO THIS) 2️⃣ if you want to start a bulk without gaining fat. Basically it's the process of gradually upping your calories whilst lowering your cardio to repair your metabolism, whilst not gaining fat in the process 🤦♀️ it can be technical, which is why I've written a detailed blog post about it lemme know the feels!
