That one time we went to check out Infinity Room and Ivan yelled REALLY loud for the sake of being in an “infinite” room. It wasn’t a scream, it was a growing yell that added to the experience, haha. The people waiting outside had a good chuckle.
John says that he’s gotten more cultured and sophisticated since dating me and I told him I’ve gotten more laidback and funny. I love us because at a glance we have little in common but we give our different tastes a chance and end up loving them. #yayoikusama #thenewyorkermeetsthewashingtonpost
We love Yayoi Kusama’s brilliant mind and her vibrant art so much that we use it as various colour provocations. Being knowledgeable about the artist and why they produce their art is just as important as the art it’s self. "A polka-dot has the form of the sun, which is a symbol of the energy of the whole world and our living life, and also the form of the moon, which is calm. Round, soft, colourful, senseless and unknowing. Polka-dots can't stay alone; like the communicative life of people, two or three polka-dots become movement... Polka-dots are a way to infinity."
-- Yayoi Kusama
Sharing our passion for artists and their work with the children is key to nurturing their love and understanding of the art world and all of the amazing processes that artists undertake.

unauthorized performance art? 😂 +more exhibition
I sincerely hope that all the people who saw the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors exhibit really took in all the works besides the interactive mirror rooms. The work was vivid and transcending. There were pieces I starred at and became lost in. I reflected on her teenage upbringing during WWII and how she described the dots as being the “subatomic” parts that make all humans, I thought about the atomic bomb falling on a teenagers country and the “atomic age” in the zeitgeist that followed and wondered if those ideas combined in her subconscious with the memories of fields of flowers and barrels of seeds from her families farm perhaps influencing her future pop art endeavors?... don’t get me wrong, I still got some sick mirror selfies too... #infinitymirrors #yayoikusama #infinity #atomicage #dots #polkadots #membersonly #reflections #fineart #popart

“Everything starts from a dot”
So I finally got to visit The Broad in LA this weekend. It’s fun knowing about some of the artists after taking an art class last semester! Really love Mark Bradford’s work which focuses on social justice for minorities. It was also so cool to see Andy Warhol’s Two Marilyns in person! Any recommendations on where to go next?
