Lone grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. (USA)
We saw a lot of wildlife on our trip to Yellowstone NP a few years ago. Each one in our family had certain wildlife that they had hoped to see and we were able to see pretty much all of them. On the last day, though, we still had not seen a grizzly bear and were starting to lose hope that we would. Finally, driving home from our last day of riding around we came upon a traffic jam with many cars pulled over. It didn't take long until we saw it was a lone grizzly bear feeding on clover in the meadow. We quickly pulled over and I reached for my longest lens setup. We were able to enjoy watching and photographing this bear for about a half hour. Not sure if or when we may ever see another grizzly, but this is a memory that we'll always cherish.
