❄️Repost from @yogameg.uk
- 🎉 I'm really excited to announce a new challenge from Dec 10-16 #YogaBodyMoves
🧘♀️will focus on some of the key muscles that we use for yoga, and give you the choice to work on strengthening that muscle, stretching it, or transitioning between the two states.
Our muscles 💪 tend to work in pairs or groups, and as one muscle shortens (contracts), another will lengthen (stretch) and these opposing actions cause our body to move - simple and brilliant!
When we contract a muscle, we are building strength, and when we stretch the muscle, we are developing flexibility. .
To participate, and be eligible to win a prize from one of our generous sponsors:

🧘♀️ Ensure your profile is public so we can see your posts;

in all of your posts!
will bring you the strength postures
will give you some stretching inspiration
- will provide ideas for transitioning between the two!
For those that like to prepare in advance, here are the list of postures, but if you are unsure, or new to yoga, please wait for your hosts to guide you - we will also be giving a little insight into the muscle functions each day, so we hope it will be worth the wait!
