A grandpa sweater to balance out my grandma-couch shirt. ❤ Seriously though, I got this sweater from the men's section at a thrift shop. So the backbend is cool and all but what I'm super excited about is the progress in my splits! By far the deepest and most comfortable I've been in this pose.
Besides teaching yoga, I am also a waitress at a local bar and restaurant in my town. I have worked with customer service for 5 years, but this is my first time waitressing.
I completely respect everyone who works in the industry and all the hard work they do. It can be a lot on the body.
At my job, I wear Doc Martins and after a 7 hour shift, my feet experience pain they've never felt before.
So much pain that when I get home and take my boots off, I can barely even walk my feet on the floor because they are so sensitive.
Here's a short clip on how to honor your feet.
Using 4 blocks to prop yourself up in toe-squat. Two blocks by your side to keep you uplifted, one under your knees and one between your bottom and heals to release some pressure off this pose. Of course, try things on, however many blocks you wish to use or not use, honor what feels good for you.
Hold for at least 2 minutes, and trust me, you'll feel it like crazy.
After, I love to tap out my feet and allow the blood to flow.
Then connecting your bottom back towards your heels and leaning back, lifting your knees up and off the earth to reverse the stretch that you just held.
Of course, legs up the wall pose is also a magnificent pose to honor your feet and legs.

to follow on from my last post. It felt great to do a proper class for the first time since November, or at least a class longer than 30 minutes! Feeling the love for sure!
You may feel unwanted or unworthy to some, but you are priceless to another. No matter how good you are to people, there will always be those who criticise you, and some of those people will desperately seek to tear you down.
Take the high road, smile, ignore them and carry on.
The toughest battle we ever have to fight is the battle to be our best self. Not this person or that persons best, but your best. And as you're fighting, not everyone will like you, many will disagree with what you have chosen for you. Sometimes people will call you names because you're different and that is perfectly fine. The things that make you different are the things that make you...you! The right people will love you for it ♥️
It's your life, not theirs. At the end of the day, you are the one that has to live with you so make sure you are hitting your pillow at night with joy, feeling accomplished because you are being the best that you can be...for you 👍🙏
